Summary: a good place to start
Review: I have purchased and read a lot photography books & "The Essential Lighting Manual for Digital and Film Photographers" is definitely one of the better ones. There are plenty of images to reference but not so many that it becomes a picture book of sorts. I really enjoyed the fact that the font size wasn't huge like you find in a lot books of this type. Weston really seems to know his stuff & it shows. If you want to learn more about various types of lighting then this is the place to start.
