Review: Very good over all. The book contains lots of easy to use information on what equipment you will need to do TLC, why you should chose TLC over the other chromatography techniques out there, very nice sections breaking down exactly how to do tests for proteins, carbohydrates and other binders in paint as well as step by step processes. My only complaint is that this is a book primarly aimed at art conservation professionals and I am having a hard time transfering some of the techniques to architectural conservation (so far it looks like it is easier just to do uv light and other convential analysis).
