Vita Sackville Wests' love of the unusual and the seemingly ordinary is written in a concise yet tender way. The illustrations mirror the text and each compliments the other to create a truly lovely book, that definantly bears up to repeated reading and may well inspire the gardener to seek out a few specimens of their own!
