Review: I recently researched the life of Christ in art, and I found this book to be one of the most thorough collections still in print. The pictures illustrate all of the major events from the Gospels along with multiple interpretations of these events. Introductions to each section are informative (2-3 pgs. long), yet the text is not the focus of the book. If you are looking primarily for large, colorful pictures, then buy this book- it's the best source I've seen. Don't buy it for the text.
