Summary: Arts in Sikhism
Review: Last few decades of Sikhism has seen fairly negative image from both the political and media world. Here is a book with a refreshing change. It brings out something more positive from Sikh World, and portrays the Arts during Sikh Kingdom.

This book presents a dazzling array of objects ranging from paintings and textiles to ceramic tiles, metalwork, books, decorative arts and photography, which all attest to the flourishing of the traditional arts during Sikh rule and thereafter.

This book complements the exhibition "The Arts of the Sikh Kingdoms". The author is also curator of this exhibition from Victoria & Albert Museum.

(this exhibition is being held at ROM, Toronto, Canada from May 27 to Aug 20, 2000)
