Review: Written in the bricks is more that just a beautiful coffee-table book. The stories contained in the accompanying text really highlight the uniqueness of Mississippi and its people. Rather than simply describing the photographs, the text invites the reader to see beyond the walls to the people who inspired the architecture and worked on the buildings. I recommend this book to anyone who has an interest in the deep south, its architecture, and its heritage. I cannot recommend this book more highly.
