Rating: Summary: The Power of a Story Told Through Photography Review: my daughter recently gave me this book for my birthday; it is a wonderful, beautiful book. The stories and images of individual patients are especially moving; my favorite is Ester, one of the little girls treated at the hospital in Peru. there are some wonderful photographs of her comforting her dolls the night before her surgery, tucking them into their own bed and telling them not to be afraid ... she must have been so anxious herself. Her story really stands out in my mind.

Rating: Summary: An Extraordinary Book Review: Phil Borges is truly an artist, and the volunteers portrayed are refreshing to see in this era of materialism. I bought this book to show my children--to provide an example of how beautiful the world can be and how wondrous selfless giving can feel.
Rating: Summary: The Power of a Story Told Through Photography Review: Phil Borges photos are deeply moving. They drew me into the story of these children--so much so that I bought several copies to give as gifts. This book brings out the beauty of children, no matter what their physical circumstances and the power of individuals working to make a difference. Stunning.
Rating: Summary: Very touching Review: this is a very touching book with exquisite photographs (I'd like to learn this technique). The stories are unforgettable.
Rating: Summary: Beautiful and touching Review: this is an absolutely beautiful book, and the essay by Diane Ackerman is captivating and very moving. A very special book.
Rating: Summary: Beautiful and touching Review: This wonderful book was given to me as a gift and the best thing I could do, is to keep giving this book as gifts to friends. The caregivers, in the pages of this informative book about the giving by Interplast members, will never receive enough plaudits for the volunteer work they perform.
