Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Understanding Architects
Review: This book is an excellent resource for students entering the Architecture, construction and engineering professions. Gone are the days of the architect as the master builder - it is now the entire A/E/C team. This book helps the constructor and engineer to understand the background that architects bring to the process. It also helps them to understand why the profession is so slow to change - they are still being taught the old methods at the university level. Understanding Architects gives a good overview of the development of the archtecture profession - it does not attempt to cover an in depth history. Makes for an excellent book to use in construction education programs or engineering programs.
