Review: This book is a reproduction of woodblock printed patterns. No instructions, wobbly diagrammes and little information. However, it's the sort of book I love. The pictures are exquisite, and I couldn't wait to get started on some of the lace. The first half of the book is reticella, the second filet. I sit and look at the drawings for hours, amazed at the complexity of one and the efficiency of the other. Again, it isn't a very big book, but for those of you interested in original, historic lace design, I highly recommend it.
