Summary: Beautiful art/beautiful book
Review: This is a slender exhibition catalogue of recent paintings by Robert Mangold (including some from the same series as those in the '04 Whitney Biennial). Mangold is usually classed with minimalist painters, but his work is much more sensuous than that of the majority of minimalists; the column paintings in particular are wonderful. A beautifully produced publication of truly beautiful paintings--anyone who likes Mangold's work should have this.
