Washington: See It Again for the First Time - Looking Up

Summary: Not a total dud but not a delight either.
Review: As a former resident of the DC area, I was looking forward to browsing through this book. What a disappointment! It's not that it's terrible, it's just not all it could be.
The concept is certainly interesting - a whole new perspective on the District. But the book lacks design value. The overuse of black is passe. And the CD is interesting if you are in the unique position of having NOTHING to do for hours at a time in order to stare at the morphing images.
This "original" view of the city leaves a lot to be desired.

Summary: A sad attempt
Review: If I wanted to explore DC as if I were in a haze of hallucination I would take the drugs. It would be cheaper! Let's assume the photographs were good. The book has more black than rush hour in NY. The photographs are lost in all that darkness. it's easy to see that this book was laid out at home by a photographer cum publisher. Why is it that people think they are graphic designers just because they have Pagemaker or Quork?...

Review: This book has no artistic value whatsoever!
It is very clear that it is self published.
It's a pity Amazon doesn't provide some form of screening for such poor quality products.
I'm not sure I could convince anyone to buy this book even at half price!
