I was lucky enough to study with Mr. Dunning while he was a professor and I was a grad student at CWU... He was just what I needed when I needed it. Finally an acedemic that tells it exactly like it is and in words we can understand! As an inspiring artist you can ignore this book and probably learn all these lessons slowly...the hard way...Or you can read it now and forge on with your career. He uses tangible examples to present concepts and ideas that relate directly the issues artists face when entering the "real world". As a student I have been enlightened by this book, and I was able to apply some of his concepts directly to situations in my life.
