Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Atlantis
Review: A good book that discusses the contreversy of the sunken city of Atlanti

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: A nice coffee table book, big glossy photos - not much text
Review: This book gives a behind the scenes detailing of the creation of the four Chihuly glass sculptures in the Atlantis resort and casino on Paradise Island, Bahamas. The sculptures themselves are amazing to behold, and I'd say that the photos in this book do them some amount of justice. While reading the book in the Atlantis gift shop, my girlfriend and I noticed several aspects of the scultpures which we had missed, and we went back to take a second look.

This is certainly not a book for someone wanting to read about Chihuly, or the sculptures he created for the resort. Aside from the acknowledgement section, you'd be hard pressed to find 1000 words in the whole book. But if you're interested in seeing the artwork, and you can't make it to the Bahamas to see it in person, each picture in this book says at least a thousand words, and many of them are "wow".

(The book would run you $45 in the Atlantis gift shop, so you'll save a few dollars here as well.)
