Review: Photographing babies and children is my passion. This book was written to help anyone to learn the specific knowledge they need to photograph children and babies. It has step by step instructions with lighting diagrams so you can do the lighting set ups the same day you read the book. Covered in the book is lighting,equipment,films,developing creativity, selling, customer service and the basics of dealing with children at each developmental age and much more. The book is loaded with both black and white and color photographs showing a great variety of set ups, backgrounds, and lighting. It will spark your creativity and the variety of poses will help give you ideas for how to best approach the portraits. I teach professional photography to professional photographers. I have left nothing out of this book. I share with you all the professional tips you need to know to succeed at portraits of children.This book is one you will keep next to your camera to refer to for every shoot, I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed photographing all the children in it.

Review: This is the book to have. It was VERY descriptive on lighting, techniques, and capturing children. I have learned more from this book than all the other books I have read. Marilyn is a true inspiration. I will be looking forward to reading more of her books.

Review: We are just starting a home-based photography business, and I have purchased many books of various subjects relating to photograhy in the past few months. This is by far one of the best yet, and the only one I've read entirely. The author shares many photographs that give you great ideas for props and poses. The text is very easy to understand, and therefore, not so overwhelming to those of us trying to cram in so much information during the startup of a business. There are suggestions for photographing and dealing with the different stages and ages of babies and children. The discussion on studio equipment is simple and to the point. She takes you through the steps of a portrait sitting, which was very helpful. I could go on and on, but I won't. It's a very good book, and I enjoyed reading it!
