Summary: Nice, compact photo book
Review: I find this to be a great book. Personally, I like the small, compact size of it over big hardback coffee table books. This book fits nicely on my shelf. The only problem I have with this book, is the cover. After looking at it for a bit, the cover started to bend and crease. The binding comes undone easily, and the book itself doesn't look very nice on the outside after this. But with some light care, I'm sure it will be fine. At the local bookstore here, almost all of the books had been looked through and had this problem. Other than that, I really loved this book. If you are familiar with Sante D'orazio's work, then this book is a must have. The collection of images are grand, and the "diary" type writing gives it a personal touch. Some images in the book are aimed to people over the age of 18, and I think maybe males would prefer this book over most females, due to the taste and manner of some images. But, I find this book to have a very personal gallery of some of the best photo's he has taken. If you like b&w sketchbook style, this book is nice for you!

Summary: Great book for inspiration.
Review: I found this book quite inspiring. The pictures are beautiful and tasteful, and it's interesting to be able to have a glimpse into a fashion photographer's life. If you are interesting in fashion it's a book you should definitely have.

Summary: Simply breathtaking...
Review: I recently recieved my copy of this book from amazon and upon first opening the package was disappointed in the size of the book. While extremely thick I was hoping for a larger format for the photos to be presented in. With that very very minor gripe aside, let me begin to try and put into words how well done this collection of photos is.

Sante D'orazio has had the oppurtunity to photograph some of the most beautiful as well as intriguing people on the planet, and has managed to capture them in their most natural seeming states. Wether it is a picture of Drew Barrymore on a tricycle, or Robert Deniro enjoying a cigar, every photo in the book is wonderfully done with such a personality to every photo that as a photographer makes me yearn to someday approach his skill. Rare is it I find a book of photography that the entire book interests me, as I often find some portions I enjoy a lot and others that bore me to tears, but this is a magnificent collection all the way through. If you are a fan of photography at all, please do yourself a favor and order this book, you will find yourself leafing through it over and over again in the future I promise.

Summary: A PRIVATE VIEW
Review: I was a bit disappointed when i looked at this book. Although the pictures in the book are nice, it's a bit messy, what was ment to give the book an 'artful' layout.Well that has certainly not worked. You should buy this book as your last choice.

Summary: fantastic!
Review: I've seen some of these shots in magazines before, so it was great to see the "outtakes." Especially the topless shots of Drew Barrymore.

Summary: Not next Avedon, but fun!
Review: If you are remotely interested in glamour photography and/or supermodels, you will undoubtedly recognize some of the pictures in the book. His main theme is not subtle - how to turn out stunning pictures of scantily clad (if clothed at all) beautiful women - mostly supermodels. Deep? Technical prowess? Innovator? Probably not. Sexy and fun is the name of the game here. In fact, the overwhelming impression one gets from the book is that the models and the photographer are having real fun. The strength of his pictures lie in the apparent spontaneity and the naturalness or the genuineness of the moment that you feel. Some of the pictures are impressive in that he gets away with publishing them!
I should mention that he also has shots of men (Keanu Reeves, Stones, Guns & Roses, etc), which did not have as much impact as his pictures of women; maybe this is my problem.
More than half the pictures are in bw and the book is not in large format. However, I enjoyed the book, which is quite reasonably priced considering the number of prints.
