Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Fairly comprehensive
Review: Gottlieb, a Washington lawyer turned full-time photographer, shares his love of our nation's capital with stirring photographs of the city. There are the classic pictures of the Mall and the famous monuments, along with less-photographed areas in surrounding parks and neighborhoods. By shooting at sunrise and after dark, from all angles and during all seasons, he successfully highlights many special features about his subjects. It's a worthy addition to any coffee table and may compel a trip to D.C. to see for yourself.

Summary: absolutely beautiful!
Review: Lovely photos of some common and some uncommon areas of the city, and the printer seemed to care about quality!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Pictures tell the story
Review: This book is a book with pictures only. There is a short introductory essay by D.P. Moynihan about the history but the rest is pictures with no captions, these can be found in the back. The photo's are all black and white, which is fitting for a city in which nearly all the important buildings and monuments are white greek columns. Get it when you have been to DC, it looks good next to your own pictures.
