Rating: Summary: A thorough resource of motion graphic design Review: A nice book with an ugly cover that contains a wide variety of examples from the motion graphics industry, showcasing the work from e.g designers like Saul Bass, R/GA and Imaginary Forces. A good thing is that it also deals with webanimation and typography in a nice way, instead of just showing motion graphics from the silver screen.
Rating: Summary: Idea starter Review: Need a jump start or a clean look at diiferent uses of typography. This book is a beautifully designed book showing type in motion on the big screen as well as other formats. I wont give you a definative direction for a project, but there are enough tasty ideas to get you moving.

Rating: Summary: A one of a kind book... Review: The first book I've seen that really gives motion typography the credit it deserves, as an emerging art form. I wish there had been a little examination into how a particular piece's asthetics were devised...maybe a few interviews with designers. A must have for anyone working in this emerging field...

Rating: Summary: This book is missing a key component Review: The title of this book is "Type in Motion," but it's missing just that - type in motion. In order for this book to be really useful, it should have a DVD or CD with image files that can be reviewed. Instead there is nothing but screen grabs, which is interesting but not especially helpful. I wouldn't bother.

Rating: Summary: First rate motion graphics/type book! Review: This is the premiere book on type and motion graphics. It shows some great student work as well as industry leaders like IF. I find myself constantly refering back to it, for both screen based and print ideas.
