Rating: Summary: Will the real Will Shakespeare Stand Up? Review: I have the pleasure of having an autographed copy of this book.It is illustrated with all the style one expects of a man of Mr. Christensen's great talent. He is indeed a truly creative and enlightening artist. However the text is "Will Light". Unless you are familiar with the works of the Bard you would be much better off buying a scholarly book by Asimov if you want to understand the works of William Shakespeare. But Renwick St. James writes a simple explanation of the plays and sonnets for those who need an introduction to them. I guess I like to get my introduction to the works at the Shakespeare Festivals (such as where I purchased Mr.Christensen's book).
Rating: Summary: The fantastic artwork of imagination Review: James intoduce you in the world of imagination and fantasy. The best artist in the fantasy universe. This book is the perfect conbination of an artist and writer.
Rating: Summary: A little disappointing Review: The descriptions of each play are rather superficial- appropriate mainly for younger readers. The illustrations are amusing and pleasant, but there are very few lavish ones such as those found in other books by James Christensen. The cover art is deceiving in this respect. Those that are included are breathtaking. I do feel it is worth the modest price.
