Summary: SHAG-tastic!!!
Review: Absolutely fabulous images!!! I have been a fan of SHAG's artwork for a few years. This is the second book that I own displaying his artwork, with the first one being Supersonic Swingers (2000). I currently have "Shag Party: Cocktails and Appetizers to Seduce and Entertain" on order with AMAZON. I anxiously await its arrival. It's great to have access to so many of his incredible works without having to spend thousands of dollars on an original piece, although... if I had it ($) to spend on artwork, I'd have a room full!!!

Summary: Dissapointing
Review: From the cover and title this book promises more than it offers, it was hardly the karmasutra we expected, nor was it an insightful and USEFUL travel guide to the beautiful ad unspoilt regions of 'Shag Rocks' (yes it does exsist we know we've been there.....many times).
so in conclusion....this was the most dissapointing shag we've ever had!!!!

love ros and rach (age 13 1/2)

Summary: great coffee table book
Review: I love to stare at the images. I love the colors and the drawings of the women. His drawings of women are amazing. The women are so beautiful. I love his style. Tiki's and bars are so cool, especially when you add some long legged exotic hotties with blue lipstick. Shag is the man!

Summary: An homage to 50's lounge culture with an ironic wink
Review: JoSH AGle (Shag) is one of the preeminent artists in the southern California "lowbrow" art scene who masterfully combines the iconography of the Jetsons, James Bond, Disney, tiki, and 50's Vegas. The artwork in "Bottomless Cocktails" illustrates why there is always a waiting list of people willing to pay [very high prices] for a Shag original, and why his serigraphs seem to double in price every few months.

Simple and geometric in composition, offering a limited palette, often as little as four colors, and a flattened perspective, Shag's paintings combine zombie jazz bands, beatnik chicks, and red devils in lounge attire. If you're looking for inspiration for decorating your tiki bar, or you're nostalgic for Saturday Mornings past, look no further. This is the book for you.

Summary: wonderviews
Review: The delightful work represented by Shag is such a crowd pleaser, appealing to the avant garde and yuppies alike. His anthropomorphic playfulness and detail for amusement, absurdity and child-like wonderment are addictive.

Tons of fun in this book!
