Summary: THE ART OF GOD - Ric Ergenbright
Review: "Thoreau said, "Read the best books first," and were he alive today I think he would list "THE ART OF GOD" as one of those books; and with it Ric Ergenbright can claim his position as one of the world's great landscape photographers: Ansel Adams would surely welcome him into the "f/64 Club" in a heartbeat. But equal to the stunning photography is the almost autobiographical prose which seamlessly equates the words of the Scriptures to its beautiful imagery. If you can dream of a world you've never seen before, "THE ART OF GOD" will open the door; and the real beauty is, one the book speaks to on every page, its right here on Earth. "THE ART OF GOD" is an absolute masterpiece."

Summary: Inspirational- Proof that God exists!
Review: After reading this book and looking at the beautiful photography, there is no doubt in my mind that God exists, and there never will be any doubt. The book is divided into sections of photographic subjects (water, light, land, etc) and after seeing these pictures, you'll know that there has to be a Creator up there that made this beautiful earth. This book is a must. You'll want to buy copies of it for all your friends! Get it today.

Summary: Has My hand not made all these things? Acts 7:50
Review: By God's grace I have been privilaged to see and record many wonderful sights in the course of my thirty-year career as a travel and scenic photographer. THE ART OF GOD showcases some of these images, and shares a few of my experiences in taking them; yet it is not about me or my photography. Rather, it is about the perfect revelation of God in both nature and the Bible - the world and the word of God - which He has designed to be viewed together so we might gain a true understanding of each. Every facet of THE ART OF GOD was thoughtfully and carefully crafted to reflect the holistic nature of His creation. From the grandeur of the selected scenes and the large size of their reproduction, to the equal emphasis and prominent display of Scripture on each page, every effort was made to focus the reader upon the revealed glory of God. Yet no human work can adequately describe or illustrate the work of God, and this book is certainly not an attempt to do so. It is instead a meager adjunct to the topic it addresses-His supreme artistry in creation. As such, its purpose is not to define the art of God or to limit it by the narrow subject matter and personal vision of my photography, but to encourage you to experience it firsthand and to see His majesty through what He has made. Consider this, then, as an abbreviated catalog, spotlighting a few selected pieces from the greatest art exhibit in the world. Indeed, the world is the exhibit, and everything in it is the art of God. To see and experience the beauty of nature is a wonderful thing. But to see and experience the beauty of God through nature is infinitely more wonderful. May this book inspire you to look at the splendor of God's creation through new eyes and praise Him for the great things He has done.

Summary: ...The Skies proclaim the work of His hands -- Psalm 19
Review: Discovered this book this week. Can't speak too highly of it.

A large and profoundly beautiful book. A soul-stirring masterpiece. I have never seen anything quite like it.

God reached out and changed the heart of this gifted photographer. This magnificent marriage of landscape and scripture is the result. The narrative is soothing, deep and artfully crafted.

God is glorified here in these pages as His Creation is showcased thru the lens of biblical Christianity.

Summary: Inspiring
Review: Even though we do not have the priviledge to visit a lot of the places that are captured in the book, the photographer was able to "bring" us there with him.

The devotion was very inspiring. After reading the book, it makes me become more appreciative of and sensitive to the details of nature that our awesome God makes.

Reading this book as a devotion is like putting on the glasses for our soul as we experience God in a refeshing, deep, and profound way.

Summary: A fair effort from a fine photographer
Review: Familiar as I am with the photographers' work, I was disappointed overall with this debut which offers a study of scripture illustrated by nature photographs. It is a book that deserved MUCH better production than it received. For the price, theArt of God is a decent gift, but if you want to see what it could and should have been like, for such a lofty theme, check out another christians'book which really accomplishes the grand display of God's Creation and thus a sense of His perfection:"Intimations of Paradise ". "Intimations" is the book "Art of God " should have been.

Summary: The Art of God
Review: I came across this book while looking for a gift for a friend. I wanted a book that would show the glory of God but would also use the powerful Word of God. I was astounded by the impact this book has in both photography and the use of God's Word. I bought the only book in the store, ordered another one (so I could have one for myself) and will probably give this as a Christmas gift to most of my family and friends. Are any of these photographs available in poster format? I would love to hang some of these on my walls, with the verse from God's Word included. Many thanks to the author for loving God and using your gifts and talents to glorify Him.
