Summary: etAEAE
Review: This book is one of the best all round books used to learn animation techniques; a perfect text for teachers. Animation techniques are illuminated from squash and stretch, to stop action puppet, to cell painting. Included is a great reference section for finding unique materials and building your own animation stand. This is more than a simple how to do manual. It is a companion to any future artist animator for it opens the reader to the sophisticated path of animation as tool articulate movements rather than simply as a squash and stretch manipulator of cartoon characters.

Summary: Excellent Book
Review: This is the book that all animator's should buy. It contains all the valuable information. Step by step of classical animation. With the using for the drawing boards, and principles of animations. If you are hesitating, don't! Just buy it and you will love this book. I bet!

Summary: The author's opinion.
Review: When I first wrote this book I never believed it would generate the interest has. It was originally conceived as a low budget paperback edition for students. However, the publisher's vision was infinitely greater than mine.....and I am extremely grateful to Watson Guptil for that. I am glad too that so many professional animators (some eventually working at my studio, Animus, in London) started with this book. It is especially rewarding when one's work touches so many people. I therefore thank all those who bought it....and especially those who worked with it. It shows the great art of drawn animation is not dead and buried just yet! Thank you one an all! Tony White.

Summary: Why I am 'moved' by the advent of this book!
Review: When I first wrote this book I never believed it would generate the interest has. It was originally conceived as a low budget paperback edition for students. However, the publisher's vision was infinitely greater than mine.....and I am extremely grateful to Watson Guptil for that. I am glad too that so many professional animators (some eventually working at my studio, Animus, in London) started their love affair with animation through this book. It is especially rewarding when one's work touches so many people in the way it has. I therefore thank all those who bought it....and especially those who have worked hard and started their careers with it. It merely shows that the great art of 'drawn' animation is not dead and buried, just yet, after all! Thanks....one and all! (s)
