Summary: Model search-done
Review: Great Reference for my art group. Love the resolution and ability to project on large plasma screen.

I look forward to another edition, perhaps with paired models. Great Job!!!!

Summary: I love this book, Good reference and concept : )
Review: I just got this book yesterday. It has 70 poses; 47 for women,23 for men. Using 4 women ; they are normal to skinny in shape. Using 2 men: one old is around age 70 and one is around age 25. I'm not a great sculptor but I would give some comments from my opinion, if it might help you guys to decide about this book.

1. It's really useful and helpful refrences. I can rotate around and see all detail and form, awsome!. I can zoom in but not that much cuz somehow the image is little blur though.

2. As above, there are 4 women but pretty skinny. For me, it's good to have all kind of woman in pose especially a little muscular women then it's easy to figure out the muscle form underneath the skin. And also the male model, this book has only old and normal male images. It would be better if they put the muscular guy also for same reason.

3. Images are high resolution but the lighting in many images is not strong enough to get and understand the form.

Summary: Limited
Review: On the plus side, this version is printed in color and the photos are a little higher resolution. The lighting is usually good, shadows are not too deep. The models are great.

On the down side:
No close-up detail photos.
Full rotations on every pose but only one angle of view- that is, no views from the ground looking up or from above looking down.
Still a bit small- poor resolution when you try to zoom in (guessing they are about 1 mega pixel).
The CD contains .mov files which makes it difficult to use. (For example, it is difficult to zoom in on exactly the area you want and if you resize, the viewer can extend off the screen.)
Females are edited with a (sometimes ugly) censor spot- distracting. Although, for some reason the males are not edited.
Poses are still strange: who sits with their butt on the floor, feet up on a stool and hands clasped behind their knees?

In other reviews, I have recommended Live Model Book. I still prefer it to this one even though there aren't as many poses. (Check out their website- livemodelbook- to get an idea of the content).

For a beautifully printed anatomy reference, try Anatomy for the Artist (read the reviews to get an idea of the content).

If you would be happy with one model and B&W photos and no CD, try The Female Nude I (the reviews tend to over hype this book, in my opinion).
