Summary: they need more
Review: although this book is full of wonderful tips and techniques. I don't think there is just "101" tips for photography. There is so much more this book could have given but some people must think that one-hudred-one tips is enough for them to be great photographers. I would recemmend this book to readers and begginers but if you want more tips.... you're not looking at the right book!

Summary: Good Reference...
Review: but in some themes leaves you a bit desoriented. This book is not realy intended for beginers, but is good enough as a camera-case reference guide. The ilustrations are nice, but I expected more brilliant works, and a some more pages dedicated to B/W pictures, not only mentioning it as a kind of film in the chapters dedicated to basic equipment and materials.
Anyway, it can be very helpful to find some hints about color composition.

Summary: great little book
Review: I recently bought a Canon Rebel 2000 and need a small simple book with guidelines on taking better pictures in a variety of different situations. This book is WONDERFUL!!! Gives many "real life" examples and shows sample pictures of everything the author talks about. A must for anyone wanting to take better pictures.

Summary: It's just as the title says--Tips
Review: I'm a novice photographer and was looking for something more indepth. The book has a lot of great tips, but I was wanting more basic information about how to use apertures, shutter speeds, etc... and in a portable/pocket style. I think this will be a good resource once I become more experienced in photography.

Summary: Packed with the basics, tips and tricks. Excellent!
Review: The book is divided into a few key areas: I. Choosing equipment, II Basic Skills, III. Using the COntrols, IV. Lenses.... Films use. Composing pictures, Flash usage etc. You get the idea. Each area has around 10-15 tips that are well illustrated and concise with VERY helpful comments.

It gives you all the photography know-how in a nutshell!
