Rating: Summary: The BEST book on RENT!! Review: I'm an offical RENThead and this book is the best book to buy if you want to know absolutely anything about Jon Larson, RENT, or the process of making RENT. IT was quotes from the Original Broadway cast, the director, producers, even Jon Larson himself. It has the entire play written out, as well as numerous picutes (at least two per page) of anybody who had anything to do with RENT. I personally like the short bios of the original cast members with their own quotes on what RENT meant to them. If you don't have this book, go buy. If you don't have the cd, buy it with the book. Go see RENT the minute it comes within an hour of your house. VIVA LA VIE BOHEME!
Rating: Summary: RENT is great! Review: I've seen RENT on tour in Seatlle. It's got to be one of the most touching shows ever. It's no doubt the book is better.
Rating: Summary: RENT book is GREAT Review: Hello fellow RENTheads!!!If you're a RENThead, you gotta have this book. It's GREAT!!! It has huge color pictures of the play, the cast, and so much more. I love my Rent book (aka the holy rent bible). It has so much stuff on how Rent came up, became a broadway show, how the cast was picked, and lots of stuff of on Jonathan Larson. It's just great, I'd recommend it to all Rent fans or people who want to know more about Rent. I thought I knew everything about Rent, boy was I wrong. There is so much more info. It's just a got-to-have.

The amazingly thorough interviews bring the life of Jonathan Larson to the forefront of what RENT is about. This is a MUST HAVE for any RENT fan. It's great.
Rating: Summary: THE ULTIMATE RENT HEAD CONNECTION!!! Review: This book rocks!!! The pictures are great, the bio info about Jonathan was very insperational, and with a complete Liberetto, you can't go wrong!!!!
Rating: Summary: As spectacular as RENT itself Review: RENT is said to have changed Broadway, and RENT has changed my life. This book captures the essence of the show, with poignant details about its creator (the now-deceased Jonathan Larson), the full liberetto, some of Jonathan's working notes from the play, and comments from Original Broadway Cast mambers and others close to the creation of RENT. The book RENT is absolutely necessary for anyone who saw and loved the show, anyone who wants to more about RENT than is written in the CD booklet. If you haven't seen RENT yet, buy the CD, buy the book and buy tickets to the show! And if you've seen RENT already, go see it again!
Rating: Summary: RENT : One "Show" GLORY!!!!!!!!! Thank You, Jonathan! Review: I've now seen RENT six times on Broadway and loved it everytime. I saw it twice in Chicago this past winter. Jonatha was a genius whose light was snuffed out way too early. Everytime I read the section in the book where it goes into so much detail about his untimely death and the first performance of the show that has changed my life I bawl my eyes out. When I see the show live it's no different. I cry because I always realize that the man who worked for fifteen years and supported himself waiting tables will NEVER get to see the way that the audience and people like me reacts to a truly unique and life-changing piece of American Musical Theatre. Bravo Jonathan! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the way your show has affected so many people so deeply. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: Great book for ultimate RENTHEADS ! Review: I love the musical RENT more than basically anything, and this book was an excellent addition to all of the information that I have on RENT. It has great pictures, quotes, and other stuff about the show. Even if you don't know very much about this musical, this book can help you learn all about it.
Rating: Summary: A good book for a great musical! Review: This book changed the face of rent for me. I had seen the musical, about three times, and it never really clicked for me, what it all meant. Then I got the book. I saw what true struggles, this book came from. I realized what it meant to be an artist, starving for the next day, starving for a piece of the good life. While I read this book, I went through the entire course of human emotions. When rent went into the workshop, I smiled, when Jonathan died the night before he was to make it to "GLORY", I cried. Few books have had this effect on me. The music alone is enough to make you cry. If you want to truly find out what rent means, read the book, and when it gets to the script, pop in the cd. What makes this book great is the stunning reality, of the stuggle for fame, the struggle for life, and the life long struggle for love. Overall the visual effects of this book are stunning. From the front cover to the end. The actors bios at the end are a nice to! uch. I have never seen any other musical book, go this indepth. A truly great buy.
