Summary: Amazing Accomanyment to the Music & Show!
Review: This is wonderful book about how RENT as we know it today came to be. It is a collage of various people from Jonathon Larson's life reflecting upon a man who changed so much about theatre, and touched so many people in phenomonal ways. It also includes a full libretto, as well as short bios of the original cast and crew. If you know and love this hit Broadway musical as much as I do, you should definitely get this book. Even if you don't know the show too well, the book will help you to know RENT. The production is an event, and the book is accomanyment to the wonderful phenomonon that is RENT.

Summary: My favorite musical
Review: I fell in love with Rent when I bought the soundtrack on a whim after hearing some selections performed by my school's chorus. It has become my favorite musical ever--it is so meaningful and relevant to society today. I haven't got to see the show yet, but this book almost made me feel like I have. An absolutely fantastic book.

Summary: Rent, by Jonathan Larson- As captivating as the show itself
Review: I am a 16-year-old who fell in love with RENT when my parents bought the amazing CD. Last September I actually got to see the Broadway show. But I am a person who, once I become obsessed about something, I want to know everything about it. The book RENT was insightful, interesting, and incredible. It made me feel like I knew Jonathan Larson and his dream of RENT. The interviews with his family, friends and the cast and staff of RENT were great. The pictures of Jonathan and the journey to make RENT a reality, as well as the huge color photos of the show and cast, were absolutely awesome. If you are someone who is captivated by RENT, and want to learn more, the book RENT is definitely for you. I've had my copy for about 4 days and I've read it about 6 times.

Summary: J. Larson's RENT- A True Bohemian Rhapsody
Review: It is not too often that we see a musical that is so insightful as RENT is. Jonathan Larson captured the true essence of Bohemian life in this wonderful work. This book gives us a survey of the life, times, and legacy of Jonathan Larson. As we read this book, we begin to see the true genius of a man who lived the life of a true starving artist. He had a college degree, and yet he chose to persue his dream of, one day, telling his story to the world. Larson's dedication and love for All Things Artistic is an inspiration to us all. May Thespus shine upon him.

Summary: Buy this book!!!!!!!!!!!!
Review: The beautiful thing about this book is that it gives you the background about the creator, the actors that brought the musical to life, and the libretto with pics. It's a great piece if you want to know about RENT or brush up on your knowledge. Tons of pic's too. RENT has something for everyone-I realize every time that I look through this book or listen to the cd or occasionally see the show, different parts of RENT affect me at different points in my life. And I think that even if you are wondering about buying this book, but it because something will connect inside of you to this musical known as RENT. "There is no future, there is no past, I live this moment as my last."
