Summary: ...
Review: I do want to correct one of the reviewers, "Days of Heaven" was initially released as a soundtrack upon the release of the movie but didn't stay in circulation for all that long. And with the pairing of "Two Mules for Sister Sara" this particular disc is once again going through the ranks of obscurity and hard to find, I know because I have spent 20 years searching to no avail. I was finally able to obtain "Days of Heaven" and shame on me from a music downloading site from a stranger from Denmark, he had no idea how much this music meant to me...it was my holy grail. It's a uplifting experience but sadly only 26 minutes of music that you never want to end.

Summary: A classic Eastwood Western.
Review: I first saw this movie while I lived in Arizona in the late 1960's when I was a boy and the only thing I remembered then was the unforgetable soundtrack. Then a couple of years ago, I rented it and I enjoyed every bit of this movie. Clint Eastwood gives a humorous top notch performance as the drifting western mercenary who finally realizes he has a "heart", and Shirley MacLaine delivers excellently as a Nun who is not only running from the French Army but has a BIG secret. From the landscape of Northern Mexico/Arizona to the great acting and music, this is a movie to watch anytime and appreciate those westerns that only "The Man with No Name" can deliver! Two big thumbs up!

Summary: Terrific Western
Review: Im a long time Clint Eastwood fan and he has made alot of westerns. Some are better than others but all are good. I have three westerns that he made which are my favorite. I do not have one favorite because he has made too many great ones. This one is one of the three. Its a great story shot on location with a great co-star and a good twist at the end. I do not know how many times I have seen this one, but I always enjoy it. My other two favorites are (1) Unforgiven and (2) The Outlaw Josie Wales. Clint is not one of those pretty cowboys. He is everyman and that is why we love him.

Summary: Clint Eastwood meets Frank Zappa
Review: Pass on this hodgepodge of tuff guy meets nun/ballet dancer in a no-holds barred feature film guaranteed to bore you to tears.

Summary: Action but nothing else
Review: Probably not one of the best Clint Eastwood westerns, but packed with action and funny situations with the fake Sister Sara. It deals with the fight of Mexicans against the French army trying to colonize Mexico, but it lacks the finesse of most Clint Eastwood westerns and critical distanciatiion from social problems and western violence. But a lovable film for those who like action, even if it has no direction and no depth. Dr Jacques COULARDEAU, Paris universities II and IX.

Summary: Great storyline, but too much talking
Review: The storyline in this movie is great, but it would be much better if Eastwood had fewer speaking lines. I enjoy the classic Eastwood, where he is always calm and quiet. At times we're shown his trademark squint but he just simply talks to much. Remember the line in the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly? "When you have to shoot, shoot. Don't talk." Eastwood should've listened to that advice here. It's still a good movie and I recommend it to people who like spaghetti westerns.

Summary: A unique western
Review: This is a unique western, in which I think even if you are not into western movies this is not your typical John Wayne western. I think the story is great and simple.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Not what you might expect from Eastwood.
Review: This movie is very entertaining because it has fun and almost parodies the typical westerns. MacLaine shines in this film and holds her own against Eastwood's more traditional persona. The humor really makes Two Mules for Sister Sara worth watching, even if you aren't overly fond of westerns. Eastwood & MacLaine work well together to make this a memorable movie.
