Summary: One of my favorite's
Review: I've had this movie for about 5 years and can't remember how many times I've watched it. The cast is superlative..everyone of them is completely believable. The sets are outstanding and the vista's are really worth staring at. This is one of Kevin Costner's best performance's, right up there with Dances with Wolves. Danny Glover, who is one of my favorite actors, gives a fine performance. Scott Glenn, Kevin Kline, Linda Hunt, and Brian Dennehy all turned in outstanding performance's. I think the casting director should have gotten an oscar for putting this cast together.
Highly recommend this film...even if you arn't a fan of westerns this one will entertain you.

Summary: My Favorite Modern Western
Review: It goes without saying that this movie was well written, well directed, and well acted. And the cast: Scott Glenn, Kevin Kline, Danny Glover, Kevin Costner, Brian Dennehey, Jeff Goldblum, Rosanna Arquette, Linda Hunt and Jeff Fahey is one of the best ever assembled for a western. What makes it extra special is the tenderness between the characters played by Linda Hunt and Brian Dennehey. I can't think of another western with a relationship like that. A must have for anyone's collection.

Summary: The return of the "A" Western
Review: Silverado is not only a top notch western featuring a very A list cast, but it is important as it was the first "A" western made in Hollywood in years. (By A I mean not made for TV.)

The cast list is a who's who of great actors from Glenn , Glover, Costner, Kline, etc... as the Paths of Glenn returning home from Jail, Kline a reformed thief and Glover who comes out west to aid his father converge. There is some first rate comedy and action. John Cleese as the Sheriff is played straight but works as comedy as well.

There is nothing to dislike about this film, it is a fine tribute to all the fine westerns that came before it.

Look for a small cameo at the begining by Sheb Wooley a longtime western actor from the 50's and 60's. If they could have squeezed in Jack Elam somehow it would have been perfect.

Summary: One of the Great Westerns!
Review: This is one of the most beautifully photographed, intelligent, positively flavored and exciting westerns you are likely to see. I rate this up there with "Magnificent Seven", "Wild Bunch", "Rio Bravo", "The Searchers" and "Tombstone". All cast members are superb and perfect in their parts. There is humor, but realism in costume and sets. Linda Hunt is marvelous, as is Kevin Kline and Kevin Costner. Scott Glenn's best film in my opinion.

The action is non-stop, but not gratuitous... for every bullet means something. This is also okay for teens, since blood and sex are at a minimum and the action is so intense.

For sheer beauty of photography, and scope and expanse, you can't beat this one... and the new DVD transfer in anamorphic widescreen is clean, clear and color corrected. The stereophonic soundtrack with the gorgeous score by Bruce Boughton will move you.

Review: I think tnis movie sucks. The reason I think it sucks is because it boring, it did not catch my attention at all, and there were really no exiting parts in the movie that I like.If enybody were to ask me what I think about this movie I would tell them to save there money, or there time and not watch it.Personally I thought the scenes in the movie were quite not interesting.So really I think this movie sucks, and I wouldnt suggest this movie to enybody.I think they could make this movie better by changing everything.
