Rating: Summary: Dont miss this exiting Western!!! Review: For all you out there who like a fast paced action packed movie that still holds on to a plot,Tombstone is the western for you.The movie opens up on a Mexican church where a Mexican police is getting married. This scene ends in the death of the police and a priest quoting the bible about death on a white horse. The priest is killed and the screen switches to the arrival of Wyatt Earp to Tombstone. His name preceeds him as he offered jobs the moment he arrives. From here the movie rolls along with Wyatts reluctant admittance into the law again. After a violent assault on his family,Earp goes on an unholy quest for vengeance. This leads to one of the most rememberable lines in the movie said by Wyatt to a pleading Ike..."Tell em' Im coming! And hell's comin with me!!!"Indeed it does at Wyatt and his followers, including but not limited to Doc Holiday, hunt down every last cowboy and kill them.Wyatt said it best when he said..."If I see a red sash,Ill kill the man wearin it!!!"Eventually Doc Holiday takes Wyatt place against Ringo in the movies last moment of exitement. This movies fast paced action plot is a must have for all Western fans!!!!
Rating: Summary: Kilmer gives best single performance I've ever seen! Review: Tombstone just may be the best western of all time. Carried by the single greatest performance I have ever seen, Val Kilmer as Doc Holliday. I have watched the film dozens of times and it never gets old. This is the first film I would reccomend to anyone in the mood for a drama, romance, or an action.
Rating: Summary: Best video EVER of the story of Wyatt Earp and company Review: This film in it's on right to me is legendary. I was most overwhelmed by Val Kilmer's role as Doc Holiday. This film is a MUST SEE for lovers of the old west and the story of these four companions.
Rating: Summary: one of the best movies ever Review: I just love the witty lines in this movie. I also love how Val Kilmer portrayed Doc as a real person instead of just a character. I love Bill Paxton as Morgan too. He is adorable in this movie. I have seen it over 30 times and have no intention of quitting now!
Rating: Summary: Tombstone is the best western movie ever made. Review: I have never watched a movie with so many great lines. Val Kilmer is fantastic as Doc Holiday, and Kurt Russel tremendous as Wyatt Earp.
Rating: Summary: Val Kilmer has always been 'da bomb' he IGNITES in this one! Review: Wow, this movie is the definition of masterpiece!! Val Kilmer is INCREDIBLE as the drunk, eloquent, former dentist, current gambler and gunfighter ,John "Doc" Holiday. His finest acting. Be warned, This is the only movie in which he looks something besides totally fine! He looks aweful! BUT WITH GOOD REASON!!! He is supposed to be dying of tuberculosis, okay, so it's ok. his acting makes up for it anyway.Heard he starved himself a month for a month to look the part. Anyway, you will LOVE his acting! BRILLIANT!!! He IS Doc Holiday. He has so many lines that you will find yourself quoting. I especcially like the part where he is "trying to decide if he should hate Johnny Ringo." He is hilarious!! They have an exchange of words in Latin, and by that Doc makes his decision. Turning to his girlfriend "That's latin darlin, evidently Mr. Ringo is an educated man. Now I really hate him." I've never seen such superb acting! Anyway, the whole Movie is awesome, not just Doc, although he's a definite show stealer. The script was very well written, in my opinion, and all the charachters are done with incredible depth. Kurt Russel was a fine Wyatt Earp. His two brothers, expeccially Virgil (Sam Elliot) were very good too. By the way. I will have everyone know that the person reviewing this movie who said Russel didn't look the part of Wyatt, never saw a Real picture of the real Wyatt Earp. The same mustache, the same squinted eyes, very similar face. I was tempted to think they had put a picture of RUSSEL besides the article about Earp I found in the encyclopedia! The plot to the movie has alot of depth as well. If you are a Kilmer Fan and haven't seen this movie, LORD HELP YOU!!!! Shut down the internet, turn off the computer, get your purse or wallet and your car keys and drive to the video store right now! An excellent movie for anyone!!!
Rating: Summary: THE BEST WESTERN EVER Review: Quite simply the best western I've ever seen!! Kurt Russell is outstanding as Wyatt Earp, but Val Kilmer steals the show as Doc Holliday. The film has immortal lines such as Wyatt Earp:"Damn right your'e scared I can see it in your eyes" and " You tell them I'm coming back and hell's coming with me, you hear me?...hell's coming with me" Doc Holliday : "Oh Johnny I apoligise, I forget you were there.... you may go now!! "Why Johnny Ringo, you look like somebody just walked over your grave" MAGNIFICENT!! I urge everybody to see this film.
Rating: Summary: One of my favorite movies! Review: One of the best western movies yet! Kurt Russell is great as Wyatt Earp and Val Kilmer's performance as Doc Holiday is awesome! Star studded cast with story based on real people and history, glamorized of course, but still a good film. "Doc" will keep you laughing until you burst, with his eloquent one liners fired at his enemies with the speed of his bullets. Great film.
Rating: Summary: First class soundtrack! Review: This is wonderful filmmusic for the best Wyatt Earp movie.Nr 4 is one of the most beautiful tracks I ever heard from a soundtrack.Nr 18 is not far behind. Buy it and you will agree that it's a good investment.
Rating: Summary: Beautiful, vibrant and too much fun Review: This is not a deep or involved film, but for what it is -- a purely entertaining, exciting, funny, quotable popcorn flick -- it's perfect. Despite that Kilmer is at his most physically repulsive (i'd never have thought i'd use the words "Kilmer" and "repulsive" in the same sentence,) he is so charismatic and brilliant as Doc Holliday it's impossible not to fall in love with him. Kurt Russell, though saddled with a couple of hokey lines, is perfectly fine. The art direction, costumes and set design are inspired. The supporting cast is ideal (although I'd have liked to see more of Kate, she was a pretty amazing person in her own right.) in my clique, "why Johnny, i apologize, i forgot you were there. You may go now" has become a mantra. This one certainly sticks with you. rent it NOW! it ain't Shakespeare, but it's a blast.
