Summary: Hecka funny!
Review: This movie is great because it is so funny, and both guys and girls will like it. If you're just hanging out with a bunch of people, and you need a movie to watch...this is it. It has everything you could want-comedy, romance, and adventure. All 3 lead characters play their roles perfectly; they work well together.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Funny and entertaining
Review: This movie is very entertaining and fun to watch. No real thinking is required, just good clean fun. Jodie Foster and Mel Gibson make a great team and the story line is very well written for a light hearted western with a bit of comedy thrown in. The villians are mean, rotten and ugly, the heros not what you always expect them to be and the story while not exactly a puzzle, isn't just a obvious "oh, I knew that would happen" plot. This movie gets a smiley faced recommendation.

Review: This movie works! Mel Gibson, James Garner and Jodie Foster WORK! I haven't enjoyed a movie this much in years.

I've never been a huge Mel Gibson fan, but I love him in his role of Burt, er Bret Maverick. Jodie Foster proves how versatile she is and James Garner is absolutely charming. The three of them together is a laugh a minute.

Even if you hate westerns, you'll love this movie. Don't miss this one.

Summary: Mel Gibson shows his funny side here!
Review: When Released in 1994, westerns were in revival, after 1989's "Lonsome Dove", 1990's "Dances With Wolves" 1993's "Tomstone", & 1992's "Unforgiven", Mel Gibson decided to revive "Maverick" based on the popular T.V.show, that starred James Garner who passes the torch to Gibson who has a field day as Brett Maverick, Jodie Foster takes over the role of Annabelle, after Julia Roberts for whatever reason dropped out, & pulls it off nicely as Gibson's advesary & later, his lover, it seems Brett is out to collect money for a high-stakes poker game & along the way encounters outlaws, whacked out indians(his friends), & out of control horses on a carriage that he is trying to stop, not to mention Garner & Foster who travel with him, this film doesn't take itself to seriously, which is a treat, even Danny Glover(Gibson's partner in "Lethal Weapon")makes a cameo appearance who is a bank robber that acts as if he knows Gibson from somewhere, but can't put two & two together, this is just one of the many running gags this movie has, as Gibson has fun in his role as Brett Maverick & him & Garner work well together as if they are father & son, a good western if you don't take to seriously & one of Gibson's best!

Summary: Good film. Good Fun.
Review: You don't need to know a thing about the old TV show to enjoy this comedic gem. There are several plot twists that will keep you interested from start to finish. Couple that with a great script and an excellent cast and you've got the winning formula from which this movie was built upon.

P.S: Watch closely for a hilarious Danny Glover cameo!
