Rating: Summary: WE RIDE! Review: Oh my gosh, this is the BEST movie ever... not to mention the corniest! If ever I have friends over I vote this movie, it's funny, witty, and most importantly, one of the stupidest movies ever! Buy it, you WONT REGRET it!
Rating: Summary: A Plethora of laughs! Review: How could anyone not enjoy this movie? The songs are awesome, the gags great, and the stars perfect for their roles.Whenever I need a few laughs;"The Three Amigos will be there!"
Rating: Summary: A Great Comedy with lots of memorable phrases. Review: This is one of my favorite comedies with Steve Martin, Chevy Chase and Martin Short. While watching, you have to keep in mind that it's an obvious parody on wild west type films. If you're looking for a laugh, you'll enjoy this film. Some of the parts of this film are very memorable and quotable. And it's really very tame, although not a film for small children. A funny feel good movie.
Rating: Summary: SHORT RULES>.! Review: Good comedy, where obviously Short is the best character in the threee of them. The idea is good, well conducted. Very good!
Rating: Summary: Would you say I have a plethora of piƱatas, Jefe? Review: Steve, Chevy and Martin work their kooky, comedic magic effortlessly in this John Landis film from 1986. It sounds dated, but the zany story works well to this day, and will crack you up with its outrageous slapstick and hilarious lines. Great performances from the entire cast including a couple of crack-up bandidos, El Guapo (Alfonso Arau) and his longhair sidekick, "Jefe"(Tony Plana), plus an outrageous vocal medley by Randy Newman as the "singing bush". This one's got music, songs, adventure & suspense (all done tongue-in-cheek of course), plus those three lovable imbeciles. Great fun for everyone.
Rating: Summary: Can I have your watch when you are dead? Review: I get weird looks for saying this is one of my favorite movies of all time, but hey, let them stare. I still constantly quote this movie. I met my boyfriend when he broke out into "My Little Buttercup" in the middle of Biology Lab and I sang with him. This movie is campy and silly...but it's supposed to be. Summon the invisible swordsman? Oh, man, that's classic.
Rating: Summary: Three very funny men Review: My wife and I love this movie. You must enjoy the comedy of Steve Martin, Chevy Chase, and Martin Short in order to appreciate this film. Great one liners and facial expressions. If enjoyed movies like Steve Martin's "All of Me", and Chevy Chase's "National Lapoon's Vacation" then this movie is for you. It is one movie we never really get tired of.
Rating: Summary: This film is a classic! Review: Steve Martin, Chevy Chase, and Martin Short. Enough said. But since this is a review, I must write a little more. Watch it. You'll laugh. You'll cry. You'll squeal like a pig. And when you're done, and the movie's over, you'll have had enough one-liners to keep you company for a week (longer if you have a good memory). This is the only eighties movie I still quote to this day. Amazing stuff. Enjoy the movie and eat well. And don't forget to say your prayers before you go to bed.
Rating: Summary: lower than 1 star & a waste of time Review: THIS MOVIE IS A WASTE OF TIME NEVER SEE IT NEVER UNLESS U NEED A WAY TO PUT KIDS YO SLEEP
Rating: Summary: The critics are too jaded to enjoy this endearing film. Review: This movie has an innocent charm about it, much like the 1920's films it is supposed to portray. Martin Short in particular gives the perfectly campy performance his role demands. This movie lays the foundation for the current "Galaxy Quest". It's great to see actors whose characters are actors themselves, trying (and succeeding) at finding the strength within themselves to actually prevail in the situation with which they are confronted. There are plenty of laughs, many subtle touches to fit the period (eg. I love the German mercenary, who's even packing a period-correct German pistol), and forgive me ladies, but Patrice Martinez is so beautiful, it's a wonder we haven't seen her in more films. I heartily recommend this film. It's a pleasure to return to each time I've viewed it.
