Summary: In a word... CHARMING
Review: I've been in love with this show since I first viewed it at the beginning of the year. The likability of the characters, the tolerant and non-traditional approach to realistic modern problems (such as divorce and teen pregnancy), and the lack of anorexia and overused pop psychology are only a few of the positive aspects. In other words, the HUMANITY of the show is its magic wand.
Those who have enjoyed the show for a while now will enjoy seeing the actors getting to know their characters. Reba's spirit and high-energy in the face of trial and tribulation are both contagious and endearing. Anyone who views this show will undoubtedly wish they were a part of this family. I know I do.
I will say this though... I like Barbara-Jean much more now than I did back then.

Summary: Suburbia with a twist
Review: At long last the hit TV series REBA hits DVD as have countless other TV shows. This hit WB comedy is finally on DVD in it's first season, with all of the episodes, cast commentary and bloopers. I remember when I heard Reba McEntire would be starring in her own sitcom, it didn't sound funny. On paper I guess it wouldn't. The cast though brings it to life and makes it funny. Reba McEntire stars as Reba Hart, a divorced woman who's life has been turned upside down. Not only has her husband left her for another woman, she has to deal with the fact that her teenage daughter is pregnant. Not to mention her ex-husband's new wife is also pregnant, and constantly interfering in her life. Somehow she has to keep it together and try to make the situation work, but not without hilarity and antics along the way. The cast is really good on this show and the writing is crisp and funny.

Summary: AN INTELLIGENT FAMILY SITCOM
Review: I am a big fan of this show. You do not have to like country music or country music culture at all to get this show which in which the characters can be sarcastic without being cruel and sweet without being over-the-top nauseous. The show treats the viewers as intelligent people - unlike most sitcoms which throw around cruel, sarcastic oneliners (Everybody DOES NOT love Raymond) or are so sugar-coated/heart-warming a person wants to vomit. All-around entertaining, smart tv for the whole family OR the single person.

Summary: Disfunction is Functional
Review: I am so phsyced that this finally came out on DVD. It is my favorite sitcom on TV. I love everything about it, the characters the theme song and the proof that disfunctional familys are functional. Reba does a great job in this, her zinngers towards barbara Jean are hillarious. I have to say it, Van is totally hot.

Summary: Hilarious and Entertaining
Review: I never watched the show on Friday nights ...just couldn't find the time. I received this as a Christmas present and my son (age three) and I are hooked! I love Reba's voice but never knew what a fabulous actress she was!

I love the fact that there is a show out there that is funny but not crude or explicit. There is a wholesomeness about it!

This is a great group of actors who obviously "click" on and off the show! I can't wait for Season 2!

Summary: SHOW DOES NOT PROMOTE GOOD MORALS!!!
Review: I watched this show at a friend's house who is a die hard Reba fan and had purchased this set. I sat through one evening of this hodgepodge and mishmash of dysfunctionalism promoting and glorifying teenage unwed pregnancy, divorce, adultery.....you name it! Not to metion the over-the-top bad acting of Reba McEntire...(she needs to quit pretending she is Lucille Ball or Carol Burnett...mugging and trying to do slapstick comedy the way they did...). McEntire tries too hard because of her tremendous ego. The rest of the cast suffers because of her high toned antics and her attempts to steal every scene she is in because she doesn't want anyone to top her. That said, the sitcom itself is degrading and an insult to those who want to influence our families with decent, quality programming which inspire and edify. There are still "functional" families out there folks. This show makes it seem like they're all passe'. And I thought "Rosanne" was bad! Given all the five star reviews here it seems like people prefer garbage and stupidity to class and decency. Heaven help us!! Go ahead and click the button now that says this review was NOT helpful.

Summary: reba, reba, reba
Review: If you've only seen the recent episodes, then you must see how it all began. I've been a huge Reba fan for years and this show just shows how diverse her career has been. As a newly single parent in this disfunctional family, Reba along with her comical cast bring everyday situations some comic relief (well as much as you can get when your husband and his hygenist are expecting and your 17 year old daughter is now married with your first grandchild on the way). This is a terriffic series and just about the only one I would purchase on DVD.

Summary: REBA IS AWESOME ON DVD
Review: This DVD contains all 22 episodes from the first season. It also contains bloopers, some deleted scenes and cast interviews. The quality is top notch and the packaging is great. Overall better than i hoped for and if you need something for a x-mas present this would be it. I hope season's 2 and 3 and so on are eventually released.
