Summary: Why should it be Tess?
Review: Actually Tess is my favourite character in this series, I never watched season 1, and maybe that's the reason why I was not moved by the love of Max and Liz at all. I like Tess and Isabell, and till the end of the season 2, I like Michael, Maria more and more but I was never able to like Max and Liz. I don't know why it should be Tess who killed Alex and tend out to be the bad character and the boss? There were clues all around I admit, and I should say that I already guessed that the directer will make Tess the final boss even when I did not see the end, but why?? She was the wife of Max but because of Liz, everyone think she is the one who break into Max and Liz, her guardian and friend died early in this season and she actually has nothing except for the memory of Max...I can understand that until the end of the season many people might dislike or even hate her, but I like her and I still insist that it's the director make this character bad. I was deeply moved by her tears when Max said he can remember something, even some very tiny things....

Summary: To love, or Not to Love...
Review: I am a huge fan of Roswell, and watch it whenever i get a chance to see it. I even try to tape episode. When i found out about the series coming out on DVD, i was so excited!! Season one set the base of the series, it showed the different relationships and introduced characters. Season 2 has much more of an edge to it, there is much more action, decite, secrets, and love problems. I am a big Max an Liz fan, and i really feel for them in this season, especially in the "end of the world" episode, where everything takes a turn. I've seen all 3 season, and so i know that, the series only gets better and better.

Summary: About the music
Review: I am a huge Roswell fan as well. This show definatly had a "cult" following and that's why the fans, although not as numerous as the tv stations thought, are so loyal to it. As for the music, it was changed in order to even put out the DVD's. The producer of the original series said that they had wanted to put out the series in DVD format, but without enough cash, they couldn't afford to pay for the royalites on all of the songs. If you think about it, this makes sense, because Roswell seems to be where quite a few singers and bads with little following, got a large fan base. I too wish they had the orginial music, but I'd rather have a collection of my favorite show to watch over and over again.

Summary: Pure Romance
Review: I did not follow this series and decided to take a chance and bought the first and second seasons on DVD and I just finished viewing both seasons. It is pure magic... Romance... Romeo and Juliet of modern times. It is not often that you find a series that captivate you like Roswell. I recommend it to anyone that would love a mix of romance and sci-fi. It is very unique! I can't wait for the third season now, but at the same time it is sad that they only made three seasons.

Summary: Why did they change the music?
Review: Roswell is on my top ten list of best shows I've ever seen in my life. I'monly 25, but I watch a lot of tv and the story is very good. Season 2 is great. Season 1 was good and it only got better. The characters are great. Yu can really feel the emotion between Max and Liz. One of my qualms and I wish I could somehow get this to the dvd creators is why the heck did you change the music? One of the best things about this show WAS the music. It was chosen so carefully, you just know each song fits the situation and sets a very strong mood. If you have seen this show before, you will definitely feel the change and it may not be good. I am left bothered by this. It's very upsetting especially for loyal Roswell fans who want nothing more than to get what they had back, and you feel a little robbed by this. But my complaints will never get anywhere and nothing will come of them. If you are hesitating on buying this season box set, don't. Go out and buy it now. You will watch it over and over. Oh, and I don't think they needed to change the music just to get people to buy the dvds, like it's some sort of gimmic or something. This seems like a very UPN thing to do. Lame, very lame. The petition to bring Roswell back after it was cancelled should show you that enough people want it, why mess with perfection?

Summary: One of the best series ever finds it's way to DVD.
Review: Season One was classic. It's the one we all love. It had the beginnings and the mystery. Still I think Season two is just as good. I mean Season one is my favorite (and probably the best) but season two has just as many memorable moments and happenings as the first. It takes the romance and sci-fi action of the first season to a completely new level, which is awesome. Some of the best episodes are in the second season, and a lot of important things in the story happen, like Alex's death, Tess's betrayal, the transaltion of the book that Max, Micheal, Isabel and Tess have been trying to read forever, Valenti lossing his badge and so many more.

Season two's story is just so engaging. I think Tess adds so much to the cast, even though you probably hate her (as does everyone else). The story in season one was just mainly eluding cops and federal agents, but season two has so much more. Max and the others aren't just trying to keep their identies hidden from the public, they also have to deal with other aliens, like the skins, who are trying to destroy them. They are also trying to figure out a way to get back home. Max and Liz's relationship is severely strained, as Liz realizes Max is meant to be with Tess, and then distances herself from him. There's even an episode where a Max from the future comes and tells Liz she must help Max fall in love with Tess, or the world will end. That's probably what eventually leads Max to impregnate Tess (accidentally mind you). Max then sees flashes that his child can not survive in earth's atmosphere (in season three you find out those flashes were fake, and Tess was just mind warping him so that he would have to go back to Antar), so he knows that they must all return to their home planet. Right before they leave though, Alex is killed. Liz won't believe it was a suicide, and eventually uncovers that Tess did it. Max is disgusted with her and Tess ends up being the only one to return to their planet. Max holds Liz in his arms as the final episode ends, and we have to wait until the third and final season of the show to find out all the true answers.

Season two is still a great season. You can't have one without the other, and I recommend of course buying season one first so that all of it makes sense. Much like the first season, some of the music in some places has been changed due to copyright laws, so that's the one downer. Other than that everything is perfect, and you will undoubtably watch the episodes again and again now that you have them on DVD, and no longer need all those VHS tapes you taped the show on. Have fun and enjoy this til season three gets here. Keep fighting for the Roswell movie.

Summary: Almost a different show.....but still excellent!
Review: The second season of Roswell is VERY different from the first. It almost seemed like a different show for the first half of the season. The love story element between Max and Liz is barely apparent at all in the first half of season two. For me that is the thing that made season one so special. Season two is much more sci-fi/x-filesish...The aliens battle another group of aliens called the skins, and they also have to keep a alien bacteria from destroying the earths water supply.

Now the second half of the season is where everything picks up. Alex is murdered, Micheal discovers he has a family, Max and Tess "get it on" for a lack of a better phrase, and Liz dates around with Maria's cousin. This half of the season sees the group taking a trip to Vegas, having a their first prom, and burying one of their own.

I think one of the things I liked most about this season was the decision to make Tess evil. I mean to be honest everyone hated her from the get go anyway. She stood in the middle of Max and Liz which people hated, so in closing season 2 starts off kind of strange, but by the end of the season finds its way back to the Roswell that we all love. I just hope the shows ending is as good as the ending of this season, because it would have made a excellent finally. So all in all a must buy for any Roswell fan!

Summary: Second Abduction!
Review: Welcome once again to the wonderful world of Roswell. After the awesome season one, you're not really sure what to expect with season 2. More of the same? A big change? Actually you get a little of both.
Season 2 starts off at the end of the summer of season 1. The main characters are just trying to adjust and lead a normal life. But it doesn't quite work out that way. While still holding the teen drama from the first season, this one definately ups the odds quite a bit!
More sci-fi action. More big changes. 21 darker, but excellent episodes. So is it better than season one?

Well, that's a tough question. Because there are some major pros and cons this set. On one hand the darker angle is kind of compelling. But there is also a lot of sad occurances to. And several characters lives head in directions that are not the happiest thing ever. But through all the sadness and adversity you get to see the characters you love grow and develop. Instead of trying to decide which season is better let's just say that Roswell the whole series just plain rocks! It is definately one of the best shows to ever be on tv.
Do yourself a favor; buy this dvd today. But be warned! You will not be able to wait for season 3!!
