Summary: Looking Foward to it
Review: Channel Chasers is going to be aired on Nickelodeon in a few weeks, and I was not aware that a DVD was already out. This summer Nick is showing 'full-length' movies of some of their shows such as an All Grown Up movie (Interview With A Campfire) a Rocket Power movie (to be aired this Friday), a Jimmy Neutron movie (aired last Friday, Win, Loose, and Kaboom), and also this Fairly Odd Parents movie. It is supposed to be a summer special going on. Although Nick has only aired these movies once, it wouldn't be a total waste of money to buy the DVD, but Nick is going to air this movie faily soon. I personally love FOP and any show by Butch Hartman, so this is probably a good buy like the Abra-Castrophe movie. ^^

Summary: Channeling Cartoon
Review: I just often know how much animation has been with kids all over, and there are sometimes where those stories can be put to parody. For Nickelodeon, they seemed to have master it very well with the success of their 2001 breakthrough, The Fairly OddParents. The show has been one of those few hits that really has came out of nowhere to creep up to everybody as one of the most recent popular hit shows out there for Nickelodeon. The show also has dawned a few hit television movies as well: Abracastastrophe: and the recently televised one Channel Chasers.

Cahnnel Chasers deals with Timmy and his fairy godparents Cosmo & Wanda, as Timmy wants to just runs away from his family, after he feels very tired of his babysitter, Vicky ruining everything in his life, and blaming things on him. As Timmy escapes into television, his future self comes out of nowhere to warn him about Vicky entering the television signal as a attempt to rule the world, using of the magical remote controls Timmy wishes for. The story also includes parodies and charactures of famous shows on television including Looney Tunes, The Simpsons, Batman, Peanuts, and Space Ghost.

As in the story, Timmy's parents go out and search all over, not knowing Timmy was telling the truth about Vicky, and they do whatever it takes to make sure they still love him, and admit they were wrong about Timmy. The feeling of the story goes very well, and it proves that parents should listen to their kids much more than they think.

All in all, The Fairly Odd Parents: Channel Chasers is a very well created made for TV movie. If you've seen it on Nickelodeon, you definitely might want to get this on DVD. The story is just great, and very enjoyable. If you don't have Nickelodeon, you might want to get that before wanting to get this DVD.

Summary: Gonna be good!
Review: In the tv movie "Channel Chasers," Timmy wishes for a magic remote control, allowing him to go to all the t.v. shows he wishes in hopes Trixie will see him. This is just the Estimate for this episode, but it will suposedly have other tv characters in it such as SpongeBob and Danny Phantom. The bonus episodes will be "Space Wars" "Spaced Out" and "Hex Games"

Summary: Very Clever
Review: My children loved this movie, as did my husband and I. My husband and I might have enjoyed it even a bit more because we understood all the parodies. "Chucky Black and the Great Menorrah" was a hoot. If you love the "Fairly Odd Parents", you'll love this movie!

Summary: It's A Different World
Review: Some of the other reviewers are under the false impression that Channel Chasers is a cartoon top 40. It isn't. The cartoons used in Channel Chasers are those that fit the story, not necessarily those that the writers think are the all-time best cartoons. For example, the spoof of The Peanuts shows Timmy that he can't run away to an adult-free world; the Scooby Doo scene gives Timmy a chance to try to unmask his follower; the Rudolph segment lets Timmy see that although he will someday forget his fairy godparents, he will always remember times spent with his real parents; etc. And, no, the cartoon segments in Channel Chasers are not exact replicas of the cartoons on which they were based. The cartoons appear as they would on a television in the Fairly Odd Parents world. Cartoons are not the same in Timmy's world as in our world, just as reality is not the same in Timmy's world as in our world. What makes Channel Chasers interesting and unique is that the artists do not merely duplicate other cartoons; they design new creations that meld the styles of those cartoons with their own Fairly Odd Parents style.
-- Watch closely as the section based on The Simpsons begins; Timmy writes a rather clever message on the chalkboard in the classroom.

Review: That's what I'd say to anyone considering buying this movie. If you enjoy silly, clever cartoons that also have characters you can really love, you might like watching "The Fairly Oddparents." And if you do like watching it, you'll flip for "Channel Chasers." Hysterically funny thanks to beloved Timmy Turner, Wanda, Cosmo, and the rest of the gang, and *outrageously* funny thanks to crazy good parodies of classic cartoons and various animation styles, "Channel Chasers" is, like the Fairly Oddparents themselves, perfect for both children and adults.

From anime, to the 'Chucky Black Hannukah Special,' to Scooby Doo in which Scooby talks like Snoop Dog, to a BRILLIANT depiction of the Rankin/Bass Rudolph Christmas classic featuring Timmy, Cosmo, and Wanda, among perhaps a dozen others, "Channel Chasers" follows a coherent story besprinkled with the hilarious wisecracks and comments and adorable interaction typical of the show's characters. It's funny, it's creative, and yes, it's touching. What else would one expect from such a terrific cartoon? I give "Channel Chasers" two thumbs way up, and I say "rock on!" to the Fairly Oddparents.

Summary: a WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY
Review: This movie was hilarious! It had some great sequences (look for the "Mr. Joel" house-of-glass part) with references to some of the greatest shows of all time. And when i say references, i mean spoofs! Tons of hilarious little things ("ha-hooo-haaaaaa") along with some obvious things (The Walnuts Hanukkah Special). This movie contains spoofs of:

Peanuts
Fat Albert
Strawberry Shortcake
The Jetsons
Rugrats
Invader ZIM (look closely at Carpet Critters and you'll se what I mean)
SpeedRacer
Blues Clues
DragonBallZ
and
Pokemon

To name a few. There are countless others. I love it! I will be first in line to get this movie and watch it, watch it watch it! I hope you do too, you won't regret it!

Summary: hilarious!
Review: This was probably the best fairly odd parents movie! It's about of course Timmy Turner and his faeries. He is punished for watching this new tv show craze called Maho Mushi and kids are doing dangerous stunts from the show, which he starts to do also thats why he's punished. He isin't allowed to watch tv as punsihment. Later Vickey Timmy Turners's evil baby sitter comes in the scene and gets him in trouble as usual. His parents come home and yell at Timmy for not believeing that it was vickey's fault for like destroying something I forgot. He wishes to become part of the tv world (useing this magical clicker) so he can be away from Parents and he is sick of Vickey ruining his life. Thats where cosmo and wanda our favorite magical faeries come in. Heres where it gets funny. He becomes part of a tv show's wrold trying to find which ones he likes the best. (note:tv shows were not subtitled since they are copy right) for isntance

HOLD ON! SPOILER WARNING!:only read if you don't care about spoliers. If you don't want this part ruined skip this! and read the rest of my review!

Dragon Ball Z/Pokemon (Maho Mushi)
Scooby Doo
The simpsons
Peanuts(you know snoopy charlie Brown yeah)
Speed Racer
Rug Rats
Strawberry short cake
Fat Albert
Looney Tunes
Bat Man
(one was a puppet cartonn my only guess is that it's muppets) or sesme street)
Ninja Turtles
Blues Clues
and some others..

Soon, Vicky finds a clicker and wants to take over the world and the tv world. And there is this guy in a mask constantly following Timmy and his faeries. You'll be superised who it is! Later... His parents notice he's missing and get extremely worried and they try to finad a way to get through to Timmy to let him know that they love him.
And thats all for my review.

Anyways this was a great movie! It made me laugh out loud! The only reason I took 1 star away was because of the simalarities to Kim Possible the movie a sitch in time. I am afraid to point them out because they would be major spoilers. But if you saw the KP movie and your gonna see this just pay attention and you'll see what I mean. But overall this was a great movie!
