Summary: Studio Offers Replacement DVD For Missing Cartoon Chapter!
Review: As another reviewer previously mentioned, the cartoon on the first disc, "Glomer's Story", was missing the end chapter of the story. On the DVD, the story "ended" (kind-of) with no resolution, and it didn't make sense.

The people at Shout! Factory, who put this set out, offer the following solution for this:

"For people who ask, we'll send them a DVD of the full "Glomer's Story" cartoon (it was missing a chapter on the original DVD). E-mail to info@shoutfactory.com
To make sure those of you writing and asking for the DVD have in fact made the purchase, we will need a copy of your receipt for the purchase sent to:

Shout! Factory
2042-A Armacost Ave.
Los Angeles, CA 90025
ATTN: PUNKY/GLOMER

Thanks. As soon as it is received, we will email you that we have it and will send out the DVD of Glomer's Story in its entirety."

If you purchased by online e-tailer, they should accept the packing slip that came with your order. Be sure to send a photocopy of the receipt or packing slip, and keep the original for your own records!

Summary: Major Plus 4 80's Fans!!!
Review: Finally, all those petitions & waiting have come to an end! Punky is back! I am sooo psyched to get my hands on this dvd set since all I have are some poor vhs copies that I keep watching over and over.
Punky, Cherry, Margo, Henry and of course our favorite dog Brandon are sure to brighten your day with quirky 80s charm that I'm sure you will love if you were an 80s baby. It's got the crazy clothing and fun antics you would expect in an 80s sitcom. I am only hoping that the first season will do well enough for the rest of the seasons to be released.
Everyone buy PUNKY BREWSTER when it comes out as it is one totally awesome show filled with "PUNKY POWER"!!!

Review: Growing up in the 80's, I absolutely adored Punky Brewester, and was a huge fan of the show. This DVD brought back so many great memories. I got excited just hearing the theme song. I have not had any problems with any of the dvd's so far. If you are a Punky Brewster fan, this DVD is a must have!!!!

Summary: Wow, full of nostalgic Punky Power!! :)
Review: I bought this DVD box set before it was even released. It came to my door June 2nd, and my hubby and I have already viewed it. All four disks, eleven hours of Punky!

I really enjoyed going back in time and joining Punky, Cherie, Allan, Margaux, Henry (He's not a Hank!), and Mrs. Johnson! It was like it was 1984-85 all over again!

Couple of really nice touches I noticed. The show the NBC peacock before and after the episodes that they had in the 80s. Talk about flashbacks! They also showed Punky Cartoons on the special features. That was fun and made me want to eat some Smurf Berry cereal while watching those. With original voices from the cast, it was very cute.

But the best were the episodes. I found myself singing along like I did when I was 10 to Punky Brewster's theme song. "Maybe the World is Blind... Dah-dah-dah-dah-dah-dah!" hehehehe!

And just like I did when I was ten, I cried a bit for Punky during "I love you Brandon". when Brandon is hit by a car and they want to put him to sleep. Her speech is heartbreaking! I loved Brandon too!

Anyway, it makes you feel like a kid. The interviews that they have on each disc are unbelievable! You wouldn't believe what Cherie and Margaux look like all grown up. They talked about all the fun they had and also had interviews with the creator and the writer. Everything they talked about, you could relate to and remember from the show. Truly a gift for an 80's child.

Don't let Punky get by you! Buy this set today! Maybe if enough of us pitch in and buy it, they will have no issues with releasing the other seasons on DVD. And don't let anyone tell you otherwise! Punky Brewster would never let anyone stop her from getting what she wanted! Don't you either! :) It's smasheroo!

Summary: An old childhood favorite show of mine gets a royal DVD set
Review: I cannot believe this show is out on DVD and with special features that actually blow the first season of Charmed out of the water. I expected Charmed to have all the extras, so instead of getting that I'm going to get this! Next week when I have some money...

I'm not sure which season is the one I'm most familiar with, but this show followed the adventures of the little white orphan girl Punky Brewster as she is left alone and, with her dog Brandon, finds herself a new place to live in the apartment of an elderly landlord. He is at first a little surprised to have this company, and is the cranky type who doesn't like children. But after only a little time together, she starts to melt his heart. Over the course of the early shows, she makes friends with other young girls in the building. Cherry Johnson and a rich brat, usually a brat- Margo (it might be spelled Margeaux).

This show sort of just cast the enigmatic little Soleil Moon Frye as Punky, who's actually had quite a very interesting career post this show. She never faded away from public view completely, did some independent films and showed an amazing lot of talent before landing herself another big role on Melissa Joan Hart's hit show, Sabrina the Teenage Witch. You may also recognize Soleil from VH1's decade-retrospective show, I Love the '80s. She had the segment called "Born In". Directly after Punky Brewster, she made appearences in a slew of fairly bad thrillers: The Liars' Club, I've Been Waiting for You, and Pumpkinhead II.

Review: I cannot even begin to express my excitement when I happened to stumble across this DVD release here on Amazon! I had just been wishing that Punky Brewster would come to DVD, but I really didn't think it would. This is like a dream come true for me and hundreds of other fans who would love the opportunity to have the season-by-season boxed sets.

My sister introduced me to the show about seven years ago; I taped some of the episodes but lost them all. I am SO glad Season 1 can be released so we can enjoy watching the episodes all over again and remembering the fun and laughter. This is a wonderful show with a lot of humor and fun; Soleil Moon Frye brings a lot of energy and lovability to the title character, and it's just something that makes you feel happy. I know I will truly enjoy having this 4-season collection; it's one of my favorites! And judging from the looks of the extras (interviews and 2 hours worth of the cartoons, which I have not yet seen), it appears that the DVD is going to be great! THANK YOU SO MUCH for immortalizing Punky--let's hope sales go well enough to get seasons 2-4 out as soon as possible!! =)

Summary: FINALLY!
Review: I had been waiting for several years to get my hands on Punky Brewster episodes, so I was more than THRILLED to find Season 1 on DVD! I finally got it for Christmas & I've watched so much of it already! The episodes are sweet & simple, without beint too childish for the child-at-heart. My husband even watches it with me! It was a great surprise to see the interviews & "It's Punky..." cartoons on each & every disc! I can't WAIT to get Season TWO now!!

Summary: Too cute and colorful to be missed
Review: I had heard a lot about this show when I was growing up, but never seen it. So when I was ordering some dvds I decided to get this one-boy I am glad I did! THis show is sooo cute, lots of bright colors and it is great for kids with the material in the show being something that parents don't really have to worry about. For adults, it is a great look back at some of the 80s fads, slang and more its also great way to reflect on your own childhood. The dvd is no disappointment from cartoon for the kids and kids at heart, to seeing what cast looks like today-there is certainly something here for the whole family!

Summary: Another Awesome DVD Release
Review: I have virtually no complaints about the Punky Brewster DVD. These episodes look great and have the same charm and innocence that they did 20 years ago. If you enjoyed this show as a child you may want to introduce it to your children because something about watching Punky as an adult didn't have the same effect on me. Some of the jokes were kinda corny. What is awesomes is you get 2 hours of the cartoon "It's Punky Brewster" the cute cartoon with Glomer the magic creature and Punky's friend. The DVD is packaged, only thing missing is a current interview with Soleil Moon Frye but she was on Sabrina The Teenage Witch for 3 years so it's not like she dropped off the planet. The package is nice and it's also cool they had that one hour special "Fenster Hall" which seemed like a spin off but don't know what happened.
