Summary: Floyd's Garage is an idiot
Review: Yes, Norman Fell was a hilarious actor who will be missed. But John Ritter's antics and humor is what made the show the gem that it is. Without him, that show wouldn't have lasted a season. There could have been no else to perform with the silly sweetness that John had. He was hilarious but at the same time, heartfelt and honest. I love Norman, I agree with you that he was very funny but give John the respect that he deserves. Without John, there would not have been a Three's Company.

Summary: Lots of fun!!
Review: Three's Company is a classic comedy, and it is great too see it on DVD. This set contains the first 6 episodes. I'm not gonna go into detail about the DVD, because everyone else has already done that. What I will tell everyone is this...check out the first pilot episode. Although it is a great funny episode, notice that it looks like it was done very cheap, there are 2 occasions where you can actully see the microphone above the actors!! Watch the episode and try to find it!!!

Just for everyone's info...the Season 2 disc which is due out very shortly contains alot of extra's, including the ORIGINAL PILOT with different actors playing Janet and Chrissy!!! I CAN'T WAIT!!!

Summary: When Comedy Made Me Laugh!
Review: Watching Three's Company again after all these years, I did laugh a lot, and not only because of some nostalgic feeling that overwhelmed me, having grown up expecting every single episode, every single week with a sort of enthusiasm that comes with the anticipation that something good is about to happen; But I also enjoyed watching the show again because simply it is one of the best sitcoms ever produced for television in any language.
Yet I could not help feeling a tinge of sadness, reliving all these funny and wonderful episodes, at the early and untimely death of its star John Ritter.
The success of Three's Company was certainly due to the excellent writing, that combined successfully the situation comedy with the physical/slapstick genre, one that unfortunately is nowadays either overlooked by the new breed of comedy writers or not well written/delivered,in addition to a very 70s touch of sexual innuendos and harmless cliches about 'bimbos' and 'gays' that were good natured and never sexist or discriminatory.
All the actors contributed their best comic talents and timing to the show, from the cute and smart Joyce de Witt, the naive, sexy and sweet Suzanne Sommers, the Roppers, Norman Fell and Audra Lindley, to the later actors who replaced some characters, like the genuis of a comedian that is Don Knotts who became the new landlord post '79, to Sommers replacements, Priscilla Barnes and Jenilee Harrison.
But as much as the show made these actors household names, its success was equally due to Ritter. The sweet, clumsy, and charming qualities he brought to Jack, endeared him with millions of viewers and ensured that the show ran from its first season in 1977, all the episodes from which are included in this DVD, to its last season in 1984, amazing continuity: he made the show as much as it made him.
Three's company is a must see and buy sitcom that will introduce a whole new generation to what real comedy should be, and give my generation a chance to laugh their heads off again, while all the same paying a well deserved tribute to an actor who has delighted us all with his enormous talent and heart.

Summary: Don't come knockin' on my door
Review: Three's Company is about as overrated as a TV show can get. First of all, every single episode is about the same. How many episodes can be written on a simple misunderstanding? John Ritter was talented, but this show caused him to be castwritten for the rest of his life. The guy acted gay just a little 'too' well if you ask me. The best you can say about this show is that Suzanne Somers used to jump around and jiggle without a bra.

Don't be fooled by the cover. Joyce DeWitt did not look this hot until much later in the show. For now she still has the dippy-doo haircut and has the sex appeal of a cactus. The producers of the show didn't make her sexy until Suzanne left.

"Larry" the used car salesman upstairs may have played a ladie's man, but he was just plain scary, like a werewolf. When was that hairstyle ever popular? His eyebrows seemed to reach out and grab people. The guy was as hairy as a rug too. Just looking at his arms you couldn't tell what race he was.

Well, John died recently while making a show with the sexiest woman on television, Katey Sagal. People are saying this DVD release is a tribute to John. Poo poo I say. If Three's Company needed a much needed tribute it was to the great Norman Fell, aka Mr. Roper. He was funnier than four John Ritters. I mean c'mon he had lines like "Hey it's easy to find my wife on a nude beach, she's the one that looks like her socks are rolled down!" Now that is humor my friends. So if you must buy this DVD, buy it for an overlooked comedian, the late great Norman Fell.

Summary: Tribute DVD? Yeah, sure...
Review: I am a huge fan of the long running TV sitcom Three's Company and I am glad that they have finally decided to release the season 1 episodes even if it was a knee-jerk reaction to Ritter's untimely death. However, suggesting this product is a "tribute" DVD is laughable as the only "extra" feature besides the 6 original episodes themselves, is a short write-up on the actor which states little except to say that some of the proceeds for the sale of this DVD will go to a charity in Ritter's honour. If you ask me, a more worthy "tribute" would have been a compilation of his best moments from the series, a documentary of his life, or cast interviews showering him with praise. It is a very smug marketing ploy to push sales of the DVD without raising production costs. However, for those who are a fan of the quirky show, it is still a welcomed addition to one's catalog. Peace be with you, John!

Summary: Oh yeah!!!
Review: In my oppinion this is the funniest show ever!!! I love this how. It's so warm hearted and funny. John was, in my opinion, the heart and soul of the show. (R.I.P. John Ritter) This DVD contains the first season, and it's definately worth the purchase price. This is a must buy for those of us who remember or just discovered the show.

Summary: A must-have
Review: I grew up with Jack, Janet, Chrissy, etc. I watched all 6 episodes straight through one night and laughed my butt off with each episode. The only complaint I have is that there are only 6 episodes and I was left wanting more. I can't wait for season 2!!

Summary: classic
Review: Who doesn't love this show ? It's an absolute classic. See the high jinks and sexual innuendo go along during the show. It's so funny. I love it the most because Jack was always so funny and sweet. Janet was actually funny. And Chrissy was not dumb yet.

Summary: There Were Only 6 Episodes in Season One!
Review: I watched this show on and off during it's original run on television and I always thought it was a cute show. Yes it was silly but sometimes I think we need a good dose of silly especially on a really stressful day and John Ritter really knew how to make people laugh, he was very funny and so cute and he will be loved and missed by all his fans! The only complaint I have with this DVD is the sound is kind of low and I have to put the volume on the TV pretty high and then make sure I put it back down before I turn the DVD off as not to blast the eardrums of the next person who turns the television on but that's a minor complaint. The DVD is actually pretty cheap in price and is worth buying and the fact that they are donating money to a charity for Cerebral Palsy which John's brother has was one of the reasons I decided to buy the DVD, the other being that I wanted to have the very first episode on DVD, the one where the moring after Janet and Chrissy had the going away part for their old roomate and the find Jack asleep in their bathtub. FYI: There is a good raeson that this DVD only has 6 episodes and that is because there were only 6 episodes in saeson one, it was a mid-season replacement and they in fact only had 6 episodes so they aren't trying to cheat you by releasing seperate volumes of season 1 on a bunch of seperate DVDs. This is in fact all there is of season one!
