Summary: Quit complaining about price
Review: "Super intergalatic grandmother after eating a block cheese, smoking three packs of cigarettes, and drinking a quart of milk - discusting - that's the word."
That line is worth how much ever money it cost cause I didn't even care enough to pay attention. I would of bought no matter how high the price was. Although I must admit for a short DVD it did have few special features. But who cares! You have to find the hidden feature where that band is dressed like they are from the 1700s and they are playing some crappy metal song about Baffler Meal. It sounds like a the most crappiest, garage metal rendition of Led Zepplin's Black Dog. I think that is what they were going for. Anyway - ITS FREAKING HILLARIOUS!
Shake is my favorite and is the best character on the show. I want to be Shake!

Is it me or are the new shows getting more wierd than funny. Not to say they aren't funny anymore but it usually takes me a second look to find them really funny. I think it's becase by then the wierdness has already set in.

Review: Aqua Teen Hunger Force is the best box set i own. It has many special features and has episodes 17-30 (i think). The story is about three roomates that live in Southern New Jersey in a crummy apartment. Master Shake, a lazy milkshake and the self-appointed leader, Frylock, a floating box of french fries that is really smart and has magical powers, and Meatwad, a ball of meat that is extremely stupid and funny. But lets not forget Carle, the prime cut of all American man meat their nextdoor neighbor that is constantly hiring hookers and is always getting wasted and thinking about women. They all ensure a really good laugh and you should really cosidered buying this DVD box set.

THIS SHOW IS ON ADULT SWIM AND IS NOT RECOMENDED FOR CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 13.

It all sounds pretty exciting, and for those of you wondering volume 3 is set to come out in summer 2005.
Note: Even though this information is straight from Adult Swim's press release, the actually finished product might be quite different.

Update: This set will also include the SGC2C episode "Baffler Meal" with deleted scenes, commentary, and and a music video all for the same episode. In case you don't know, this is the episode of SGC2C with the original SG Aqua Teens in it. Trust me they're different.

Summary: not as good as volume 3, but cool
Review: As I noted, I DIDN'T have Volume 1, but now I do. {I actually have had it for quite some time}. In fact, many many many many many many many many many many many many many weeks. But this, not so long. Throughout this review, I don't want to talk about JUST the 3 volumes. AND NOW, FOR THE COUP DE GRACIE:

Some of these episodes are WEIRD. And I don't just say that for {DR.} Weird. But I don't want to keep this too long either. He starts the weirdness! But, I like it however. I'm not so sure what else to say, but that this is neat if you have or haven't seen the show, and don't own this, get it. And I say that ESPECIALLY to whomever hasn't seen the show.

Summary: ONE OF THE BEST SHOWS EVER
Review: ATHF is one of the funniest, coolest shows out there today on TV. Volume 2 is better then the first Volume. It is a story of Meatwad, Frylock, and Master Shake. They encounter mostly robots and aliens and solve mysteries. No, this is not the end of ATHF. Do not buy this unless you have Volume 1. This is one of the best shows ever.
The whole time for Volume 2 is 156 minutes long.
There have already been rumours about Volume 3 which we be released in November but I saw on TV it will not be released till Summer of 2005.

Summary: Not as good as Season 1
Review: I didn't think it was as funny as Season 1, but it's still a good buy for Aqua Teen Hunger Force fans. Master Shake gets plastic surgery in Guatemala and Danzig buys Carl's house.
There were no Mooninite episodes this season, but at least there was one episode with Oglethorpe and Emory!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: 5 for the Aqua Teens, -1 for Corporate Greed
Review: I love the ATHF! The surreal humor is wonderfully off kilter and never fails to make me laugh. I highly recommend this set to anyone interested in offbeat animation.

However...

There are 13 episodes on a two disc set. The episodes are 11 minutes long.

13 x 11 = 143 min

Your average DVD can contain about 4 hours of information (240 m). There is no reason, other than Time Warner trying to fatten the corporate wallet, to spread this out over two DVDs. Unless Cartoon Network promises to give the extra profits to the shorties, there's no excuse.

Five stars for the product. Taking one back for the greed.

PS: For the reviewer who said I was lying about DVD lengths: Funny how movie studios can fit a 2 1/2 hour movie with multiple commentary tracks, deleted scenes, and other bonuses ALL ON ONE DVD! Wow! Imagine that.

And, by the way, I think most two disc packages are pretty superfluous. Unless you've got some major extras, you can usually fit the 30-40 minutes of extras on the first disc. It's just price padding. I just find it very noticeable in this case, especially considering the low amount of extras included on the first ATHF set.

Summary: Bad review above
Review: I would like to respond to the comment above that "there is no reason to spread this over 2 discs." This is incorrect. Most DVD's are double-layered, which means there are two surfaces of data on the bottom of the disc. However, these discs are more expensive, and only necessary if the movie is over an hour or so. It's cheaper to put this on two discs, because it's not necessary for every episode to play one-after-another.

I love Aqua Teen. Don't bash it because you don't get it (or in this case, don't know how a DVD works!)

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Another great set of episodes
Review: I've always loved this show right from the beginning of its run on Cartoon Network. Assuming they stick with 16 episodes like they did with the first DVD set, they'll be:

Mail Order Bride
Cybernetic Ghost of Christmas Past from the Future (alot of people don't like this one, but it's one of my favorites, especially with Danzig guest starring)
Super Computer
Super Birthday Snake (another fave, "You so freakin' did!")
Super Bowl
Super Hero
Super Model
Super Spore
Super Sirloin

Super Squatter
Super Trivia
Broodwich
Meatzone
Universal Remonster
Total Recarl
Revenge of the Trees

With just 10 more episodes after these 16, I wonder if they'll include them with this set or wait to make 6 more--I don't see any more episodes on the horizon, and their last episode entitled "The Last One" kind of makes me skeptical, unless I'm just missing the point, whatever.

Anyways, get this as soon as possible! It's even more hilarious than the first set. And here's hoping they get around to Space Ghost Volume 2 soon. Sealab 2021 Volume 1 is coming out the same time as ATHF2, so it's possible SG is in the works.

Summary: I'm going to be farting blood tonight
Review: Matt Maiellaro (Space Ghost Coast to Coast, Hell Raiser 3, and Basketcase 3) and Dave Willis (Space Ghost Coast to Coast) direct and cowrite this masterpiece. I love these shows, and cannot wait to watch every episode from season two.

Frylock is the lead character so to speak. Frylock uses his super powers the most often (at least with a purpose), is the rational character, and plays referee between Meatwad and Shake. He may be a lot of people favorite character, but he is far from the funniest.

That honor goes to Meatwad. Meatwad is a character with child like attributes. He is taken advantage of by Shake, but when describing things that he sees, wants, or Shake has done to him, it is uncontrollably funny.

Master Shake is lazy, manipulative, broke, useless, worthless, unproductive, and a pain in the [...] to the rest of the characters. He usually gets everyone into trouble, and always tries to blame it on someone else. He is only funny in his interactions with Meatwad.

Frylock, Master Shake, and Meatwad are roommates; Carl is their landlord. Unfortunately for Carl, his tenants live to destroy his car, swim in his pool (which is not such a great thing when one of your tenants is a meatball). Carl is extremely funny, with his gold necklace, and having to put up with his tenants unbelievable stories, which are true.

This show is the best cartoon on TV right now, passing South Park, and the Simpson's in my opinion. I find myself holding my stomach laughing, and I do not even get to hear the whole back and forth sequence. This show is too funny.

Grade: A
