Summary: Roswell Season one is great
Review: Since the show first aired..I have been waiting for the DVD. It is worth every penny. Some of the songs have been changed...but for the most part you do not notice it. The only place where it is very obvious the songs have been changed is in Sexual Healing. The Cafe scene where Max and liz makeout,"I smell Sex and Candy" song is not used. The one they used in its place is not good....but other than that the DVD is great. Also check out "Sexual Healing" with commentary on option where Shiri Appleby and "Maria" are talking...it is so funny. Plus we learn that Shiri like all of those makeout scenes with Jason Behr and that "Maria" was a little envious....

Summary: WOW
Review: I know that there were originbally things which were planned for this which didn't come about, but the final piece was still amazing! The interviews which were used in the area 51 extra were brilliant, you got to see alot of what the actors thought and felt about things, it wasn't just, 'I played Max in roswell, and i liked this episode....'. Bill Sadler was great, really funny, and Colin Hanks, with his thoughts on everyone was very enjoyable to watch. The episodes ae brilliant quality play - better than TV reception! and I would have bought it just for the extras it came with. Highly recommended!

Summary: Where are all the DELETED SCENES???
Review: Is it me, but I thought there were going to be deleted scenes for each DVD? As much as I love the show and am ecstatic that I have them on DVD, I was really looking forward to the deleted scenes. Hopefully in the Season 2 DVD, they'll have more, especially the extra hour deleted for the episode "The Departure".

Summary: How in the world could they do this!?!
Review: Of all 3 season of the show the 1st was the only one I loved and truly cherished and could not wait to go to DVD so I could own and treasure it for all time. But the fact that they butchered it by taking out most of the original music really burns me. If I had known I would have thought twice or waited until it was a whole lot cheaper. It's just not the same!!!!!!!!!! The music set the tone for Shiri Appleby and Jason Behr to do their magic the music now takes away from the moment not adds to it! What in the world were they thinking were they even thinking! The only saving grace is Shiri Appleby commentaries otherwise so not worth the price! Argh!!!!

Review: Hey just wanted to say that this is a great, wonderful DVD. One of the best shows ever. Only problem is that there was a disc one in both case one and four. So make sure you check on that

Summary: Check for two disc 1s
Review: I recieved my set and must admit to totally loving the Pilot without commercials!

BUT!!!!

Check your set for two Disc 1s!
It seems many have been getting a second copy of Disc 1 in the Disc 4 case.... I know because after reading on the message boards, FF and MB, that this was the case for some, I checked and I too have a Disc 1 in the Disc 4 case! :(

Just in case it might have been misslabled, I checked, It is a Disc 1.

This set is going back for replacement.

Review: As a TV show, Roswell is a true gem. It features a perfect storyline blending sci-fi, drama, and romance -- there's something in the series for everyone. Visually, the cinematography, lighting, and studio design represent the highest of production values, bringing a more film-like look than would be expected from a TV series.

In terms of the DVD, the print shows somewhat disappointing grain and slightly aggressive compression, revealing mosquito noise at times. That said, this is a disc that benefits significantly from high resolution (1080i/720p) DVD upsampling. The Dolby 5.1 audio is well mixed with good use of the LFE channel, and minimal rear surround effects channel.

The original Roswell series was famous for its excellent music, however the music has been remixed for the DVD release due to prohibitive licensing costs. This shouldn't affect your decision to purchase the DVD. The new music selections are well thought out. Only the most passionate of Roswell fans will be disappointed by the new music, however the widescreen format more than makes up for it.

Summary: Two soulmates found each other, & the rest of us found them.
Review: This is hands down the best series I have ever enjoyed. I was hooked from the very first episode, and I have undeniably and unchangeably thrown myself into the large hopelessly devoted fans group. As a true fan, the only things that I find these DVDs lacking in are the music (point to other DVD series that were able to keep their original scores), and more deleted scenes. After how long we've waited and the fight we've endured to get this here, we feel a little disappointed that our beloved series is not here in its true form.
Now, on to the good stuff. The characters are strong and the plot is perfectly paced. The romantic moments are neither too fast nor too slow, and they are definitely not so often that they interfere with the rest of the story, and what an action story it is.
The appeal of a group who is so intimately connected in such an unbreakable bond touches a part in all of us that needs to feel a part of something bigger and more important than the lives we've had so far, and yet the close-knit union that they share is just as desirable. The story of 3 teenage aliens who find that they are not as alone as they thought, and 3 teenage humans who find out the same thing from the other side of the path, strikes a chord in all of us. The laughter and joy, pain and grief, and the loss and survival that the characters experience will have you laughing and crying and cheering alongside them. You'll find that the mistakes and lessons learned, and the trials and setbacks experienced are a lot of the same ones that you've had in your own life and in that way the characters become more real and lovable.
Don't miss out on this must-have for any sci-fi lover or lover in general. And remember to be what you are, and do what you want, just don't hide your devotion until the next season.

Summary: And the bittersweet fruit blossoms...
Review: I LOVED this series! Roswell put so much emotion and drama (but not too much drama, if you know what I mean) into the three measly seasons they were allowed, that I just have to get this set! It does always seem that my favorite shows are taken off however (I wonder why...?). Okay. I'm rambling. But even though I haven't heard the music score changes (and I agree that the music was an important part of the show), the series more than makes up for it. Liz and Max are just adorable together, because it is sort of magnetic, those two being a couple. And Isabel is the prima donna that you grow to like, as well as the bossy big sister a lot of people can relate to. Alex is touching in an innocent way as he tries to help his friends, and Maria and Micheal's rocky romance has a lot of ground in serious social issues for those not really going for all the mush or the lone-lovely storyline. You really get to see the characters unfold in this series, especially during season two (keep going, even thought the end of season two is VERY sad! It'll be worth it!), as the aliens find more like them- some good, some bad- and learn how to trust people other than their small circle.
Okay, I have to say this one little thing: Max is VERY mysterious, the strong, silent type I think a lot of (girls) people might like (I know I did). So even if you never saw the series, read up on it, look at some pictures, and as long as you have a bit of a questioning outlook on the universe, you should really enjoy it. It packs a great storyline, good actors/actresses, always some type of action as well as emotional content, and plenty of nice visuals (characters included). Hope you have a good time learning about one of the best series, period!

Summary: Roswell the way it should be.
Review: I came late to the roswell craze i caught it last year when sci-fi channel was replaying it. I was impressed and fell in love with the story line. So when i herd that it was coming out on DVD i preordered it in Dec 14. It was in my mail box two days after the release date. I was surprised when i read the note that is included in the box set about the music. I feel that replacing the music or not releasing the series was a challenge for them and Im glad they chose to replace some of the songs in it. I am a huge wide screen fan and was excited to see that all 22 episodes are in wide screen. I cant wait until season 2 comes out sometime this summer.
