Summary: There really is a god!
Review: Sadly enough, I totally forgot about this show. I just now, about 15 minutes ago, was looking through the weekly Best Buy advertiser and saw that this DVD was going to be released this Tuesday. I don't think I've been so excited for something in my life. I remember watching this show now like it was yesterday. Great, original comedy. I don't see how this DVD could get anything less than a perfect 5 out of 5 stars. Can't wait!

Summary: Get it yo' damn self!
Review: "In Living Color" was so fresh, energetic, and hilarious when it first hit the Fox airwaves that you wondered how it could possibly keep up that level of entertainment. Well, it couldn't, exactly, but those first few shows, and many moments during the rest of the season, were insanely funny and groundbreaking.

Like all good sketch comedy, "In Living Color" immediately set out to create its own collection of recurring crazies (rather than the current SNL-method of mostly relying on celeb impressions), and look at how many still resonate: Fire Marshal Bill, the Men on Film, Anton, Homey...and so on. The show's genius is that it went for laughs anywhere it could - it could be richly satirical or downright silly and scatalogical, often in the same sketch. It basically counted on the intelligence and variety of its audience in a way that we haven't seen since, except maybe with "The Daily Show." "In Living Color" was edgy to the point of discomfort sometimes, but we wanted that too - everything else felt saccharine and safe next to "ILC," and we were ready to push some boundaries.

Eventually "In Living Color" would degenerate into low-minded skits based on grotesque impressions, gross-outs, and cruelty. But for one brief shining moment - captured on this DVD set - we all wanted to live In Living Color.

Summary: GET IT !
Review: This is a VERY entertaining set, from start to finish...
including the Fly Girls !

It is testament to their collective talents, especially showcasing the Wayan Family, and Stars to be, Jim Carey and David Alan Greer.

Too bad it's off the air, but thanks to FOX we have it for repeated viewings. Let's hope the history will continue !

Summary: LET ME SHOW YA SOMETHIN
Review: I have been waiting close to forever on this DVD series. While other less funny shows were released, the network seemed to think it was ok to let this series collect dust. Well its finally here, so I like the Millions (and Millions) of In Living Color fans can finally watch Homey Da Clown lay the smackdown on your candy AZZ. And thats just the beginning. If you've never seen this show, or just miss it from the good ol days when TV wasn't all sappy crap, you owe it to yourself to buy this DVD series. 2 snaps up.

Summary: The Greatest Sketch Comedy Show EVER
Review: "In Living Color" was undoubtedly the most original, bawdy, hilarious comedy program television has ever seen, and nothing has come close to it before or since. The show bridged the gap between black and white audiences by at once exploiting sterotypes and then proving how ridiculous they could be, without being politically correct or preachy, and never without the aid of top-notch humor. The writing was spectacular, each of the performers were incredibly talented, and the chemistry between them showed.

Unlike "Saturday Night Live" or "Mad TV", in which one must sit through many terribly unfunny sketches to wait for the favorites, there was no need to wait for the good stuff on "In Living Color". All of it was in your face, laugh-out-loud, cover-your-mouth comedy! And at last it is on DVD, and reasonably priced to top it off. I can't wait until April 6, 2004!!

Review: This is a must have collection. There never has nor will ever be a show that was so original and funny. I am thrilled to be able to watch it over and over. Sunday nights were never the same when In Living Color left the air.

Summary: Unbelievable
Review: I have to agree with what the other reviewers have asked. What took so f*!#&$^ long? I remember that watching this show was almost like a religious event. In college, 20-30 of us would gather at the same apartment every sunday night and laugh our asses off. The Men On...sketches, Fire Marshall Bill, Damon Wayans as the crazed inmate who couldn't talk right, David Alan Grier as the bluesman, Kim Wayans as Tracy Chapman. Hell they even had a Super Bowl Halftime Show, "Men on Football". I've been missing these shows for years. I am definitely fired up, and I'm laughing just thinking about watching them.
