Summary: Great songs, great characters.
Review: The plot is simple and silly: Big Bird, Prairie Dawn, and Telly decide to put on a show, and look for singers, dancers, and "la-la"-ers. Big Bird runs into some trouble finding the "la-la"-ers, but everything works out, and it's really just an excuse to show musical clips from the first 25 years of "Sesame Street", bringing back great memories for anyone born in the mid-1960s and after who grew up with "Sesame Street", and entertaining our children who are about to grow up with "Sesame Street". This tape is better than "Elmopalooza" because the song clips are the originals, not new versions done by celebrities (with one exception: "Sing" performed by Ladysmith Black Mambazo and the "Sesame Street" cast with lots of children), and this tape is lighter than "Elmopalooza", in which everything goes wrong and the characters freak out. My son is 14 months old, and has watched this tape more times than the Count can count.

Summary: My son loves this!
Review: My 20 month old son loves this DVD! The outdoor scenes are great and a big variety in the songs. Also, Count and then the very very cute and funny "Count it Higher" skit/song is absolutely one of our favorites!!! My 20 month old has already started to say one, two, and three and it is in part a result of this DVD. Thank you again Sesame Street! Cute Cute Elmo parts as well.

Summary: Uninspired, awful!
Review: This DVD is chock full of the classics. Even though we've seen in at least 500 times, it never fails to bring a smile to our faces. So many great messages, too, about diversity, protecting the environment, being good to one another--Jim Henson was truly a genius! Best of all, my 18 month old literally cheers when it comes on. We have a blast singing and dancing together. If I could, I'd give it a 10!

Summary: This one is Great
Review: I bought this DVD for my daughter when she was 6 months old. At that time, she was basically just watching Baby Einstein DVDs. On the first viewing of "Sesame Street's 25th Birthday - A Musical Celebration", she was mesmerized. Fast forward eighteen months, and my daughter is still enjoying this DVD. This one, along with " "Fiesta" and Bert & Ernie's Word Play" are among her favorites.

Summary: The BEST Sesame street video out there.
Review: I really don't understand the negative reviews. This is a GREAT video, my daughter absolutely LOVES it. It has the best segments from the past, plus a great storyline in between with fantastic new songs. My husband and I also love to watch this one the most. Yes some songs are abbreviated into medleys but a lot of them are in their entirety. Highly highly recommended.

Summary: If I could rate higher than a 5 I would!!
Review: I absolutely love this DVD. We originally bought it on VHS when my son, who is now almost 3, was not even 6 months old. I could put him in his bouncer seat and he would just watch and listen with amazement. To this day he still loves this video and would watch it everyday if we let him. We bought the DVD version about a year ago so if anything happened to the VHS version we had, we'd be covered. I also have a daughter who is 19 months who also loves this video. It is a good collection of Sesame Street songs and skits. It is a full hour, so it's a few minutes longer than any of the Elmo's world videos. This was worth every penny (twice).

Summary: Good but could have been better
Review: I love Seasame Street and wanted a good trip down memory lane. I want my daughter (she's only 3 months old) to grow up with my favourites. I was a bit disappointed in the dvd. I was hoping for a lot more "oldies" and I would have preferred to see the entire sequence for the rubber duckie songs. I was also looking for the words to help me sing along. Put in the lyrics please!
