Review: So many times, videos of famous texts are so dry and dull, with stodgy stiff actors, cheap sets and costuming, and an overall bad effect. This production has a fabulous cast, beautiful costumes and sets, and it is very upbeat. My ENG 431G class at UK watched this video, and we were in stitches. I loved it, because it took a book that many people might not dare read and made it not only accessible, but enjoyable.

Review: The story has some suprising twists and turns, and the actors are great. Good bits of humor throughout and it even gets a little racy! It's an enjoyable watch, though it does get a little slow at times.

Review: This is a great film. I happened to catch it when it aired on A&E and thought it so good I stayed up until 2 am every weeknight as to not miss any of it. Anyone who is a fan of romance or comedy will like this terrific film!

Review: This movie is great. My favorite A&E miniseries is Pride and Prejudice, but this is a close second. It's funny, racy, the costumes and sets are beautiful, and the story moves along fairly quickly. A great choice for a rainy afternoon!

Review: This version of the novel by Henry Fielding is brilliant. Although I agree with the viewer from New York that the Oscer Winning Film of Tom Jones is a classic, you cannot compare the two versions. This television production is more faithfull to the novel and benifits from excellent performances from the whole cast. It is simply what televisions are made for.

Review: Though some have found this adaptation morally "deprived" and were disappointed because they had "exspected" the film to be similar in feel to A&E's <u>Pride and "Predgudace</u>," I thoroughly enjoyed the mini series, which did a fairly good job of capturing the atmosphere of Henry Fielding's novel.

Summary: I Love You Tom!!
Review: Tom Jones is one my favorite movies of all time. It is so hard to watch this movie and not be charmed by Mr. Jones and his crazy antics. In this movie you have your two central characters, that rapscallion orphan Tom Jones and his fair innocent(though sometimes a bit temperamental)Sophie. Surrounding this epic love story are a wide variety of vivid and eccentric characters. This story has one of the best endings ever, which I won't reveal to you though I am sorely tempted to do so. If you are a rommantic at heart or just love a good laugh and lot of adventure, you must see this movie.
