Summary: Great show but GREEDY HBO strikes again
Review: Having only seen an episode of SATC here and there over the past 6 years but enjoyed the show each time I caught it on tv, when I saw my local Wal-Mart had all 5 seasons on DVD available, I plunked down the $225+ for the whole series. It wasn't until I got home that I realized season 5 had HALF as many episodes and was the most expensive of the 5 seasons. I watched every episode back to back over the course of a week and became good friends with Carrie, Charlotte, Miranda and Samantha. Now I hear the bean counters over at HBO have in their infinate greed decided to release season 6 in two parts. Thus making the devotee's of the series spend what will end up being around $100 for the final season (Approx $50 for part 1 and 2 I am assuming) I will buy them, but wont be very happy with the price. Shame on HBO.

Summary: moneygrabbing in the city
Review: First off, I was a huge fan of the show, but as does anything, the greatness got weaker and weaker each season. I own the first 4 seasons on DVD, however, as the 5 season was really not that great and the stories were getting old, I was horrified to know that with only 8 episodes they actually went ahead and charged full retail for 1/3 of the episodes. NOW THEY ARE SPLITTING SEASON 6 INTO 2 DISC COMPILATIONS. I know I will not buy it. The greed is getting out of control. Let's face it... the show lost it's spice, and they want more cash.

Summary: Only 12 Episodes?
Review: The technical details don't mention it, but this set only includes the first 12 episodes of season 6 - starting with "To Market, To Market" and ending with "One" - I wouldn't recommend pre-ordering this set until it's known whether or not there will be a full season set coming later. I'd much rather have the whole season in a single set, although if Part Two has a lot of good bonus features it might be worth paying the same price as a normal full season...

Summary: 1 Star for the price - 5 stars for the show!
Review: I am a die-hard S&TC fan. I absolutely LOVE the show - and will definitely buy the 6th season disks - but COME ON!!! Haven't we (S&TC fans) shelled out enough dough for this show. Not only do we have to pay just to watch the show, but we buy the merchandise as well. The fifth season was ok - but full price for an 8 episode season? And now they're breaking the 6th season in 2 releases and charging full price for both? HBO - thy greed runneth over - WAY over!

Summary: sex in the city id one of the best show ever on cable
Review: i just want to write to say that sex in the city is one of my favorite shows ever and sad to hear it is ending. the one thing i can is if this show was meant for woman they didn;t do there jon right. because i am guy and love this and own all season on dvd.

season 5 was not the best season og this show. because it was to short and it was boring an not funny. an when it came out on sale they priced it to high like 50. i got my other 4 season of sex in the city cheaper and bought some other tv shows on dvd. in my last words. all i have to say is sex in the city is one of the greats shows that will go down in historie for great story lines and actress. plus for make the 5 season of only 8 epise the highest tv show on dvd for some few epises

Summary: Part I DVDs Out Later This Year
Review: I love this show. Though it went a little sour last season, they made up for it this season.

The hype for this show is so great, that they are releasing the first twelve episodes shown in 2003 and then the last eight episodes after the show ends.

I'm sure all sex and the city fans will grab this DVD the first day it comes out. And as for the rest of the population, you better start watching the show's remaining shows or watch it when it is shown in syndication on TBS. One of the funniest and honest shows.

Summary: Why HBO? WHY??
Review: Though I guess I am excited at the news that the first part of this season will be released in May, I am appalled at the greed running the release. Season Five was 50 bucks for 8 episodes on 2 discs. Though I'm not among those that hated Season 5 I think that price was pretty ridiculous especially since they could have easily fit all 8 episodes on one double-sided disc.

Today, I found out they are releasing Season Six in two separate parts. The first part (due in early May) is twelve episodes, like season one. Someone at HBO got the brilliant idea of putting twelve episodes on THREE discs instead of two and jacking the price up!! Will their greed never end?? This is ridiculous!! If these discs had ANY special features it would be different, but they don't. They never have. I love the show, but I can't understand why they are messing with us like this.

Summary: Sexy Season Six (Part 1)
Review: This season's first 12 episodes, in my opinion, are the crème de la crème of the entire series. SATC continues to grow, develop, and intrigue without jumping the fabled "shark." These episodes are: To Market, To Market; Great Sexpectations; The Perfect Present; Pick-A-Little, Talk-A-Little; Lights, Camera, Relationship; Hop, Skip and a Week; The Post-It Always Sticks Twice; The Catch; A Woman's Right to Shoes; Boy, Interrupted; The Domino Effect (my personal favorite); and One. HBO has announced that this part of Season 6 should be available around May 18, 2004 (retail $49.99) & the second part will come out next year. This is a great opportunity to enjoy this luscious season while it is still being filmed. Yum.
