Summary: ATTN: SOCCER MOMS!!
Review: Here's your chance to own the Sopranos season especially made for YOU! Put down that triple-venti-extra-foam-nonfat-caramel-latte and fire up the minivan! This is the season where they tone down that pesky 'dark mob violence' and get to the point. Furio! Carmela! ooooh! Danger, but with sexy consequences!!!

Sure, you might get a nasty death or two, but this is what DVDs are for? Fast forwarding! Am I right?? And is there anything more RIVETING than scenes with Paulie and his Mom???? Priceless!

Here's to hoping that Tony discovers just how wrong he's been to the sassy new Carmela. She had NO idea he'd be a giant tapeworm and sleep with every drunk Russian or Italian chick on the Jersey shore. Let's hope Dr. Phil makes a special guest appearance in Season Five!!

To the rest of the loyal Sopranos viewers who funded HBO through the three great seasons before this: They don't charge for this swill on daytime TV. Save your $$.

Summary: who is this guy? Dietmar Jokiel???
Review: this season of the sopranos was excellent, better than any other show on television. the fact that someone actually wrote that the behavior portrayed on the show was not some he would tell his students not to watch is ridiculous. for starters, IT'S A MOB SHOW. so for all the other future smarties who decide to rip on a show that they should not be viewing in the first place if they are concerned with violence and activities associated with crime, go watch power rangers or pokemon. the sopranos is by far the most creative and well written show on television. if you dont appreciate mob stories or movies, then watch something else and dont rip on quality shows

Summary: Still Great
Review: I've read a couple of reviews that said that this season was more boring then the others. I totally disagree. Sure, there wasn't as much whacking as there should of been but the storylines were great. This was also in my opinion the most shocking season by far. The fate of Ralph, the Carmela-Furio thing, and the Tony's estrangement from Carmela. This season was great, even if it wasn't as strong as the rest.

Summary: Dietmar needs to get a grip
Review: I sure hope Dietmar is teaching something other than art, literature, or spelling.

Summary: So Primo
Review: This series is the absolute best thing on television, and one of the absolute best dvd's in my collection, right up there with "New Sex Now."

Summary: "Sopranos"= "World Champion of the 'F-Word' andDrug Addicts"
Review: I am a high school teacher and I watched one episode
of the "Sopranos", and I was shocked. I told all of my students
to never watch such "TRASH". Why?
Because during one hour, the actors used the
"F-word" 52 times, smoked pot, sniffed cocain,
injected heroine into their veins and murdered
an innocent police officer at his house.
Everything these disgusting actors do are actions
we teach our children not to do.

Summary: Tops
Review: This series is the best show ever made for television. If you like action, great drama, and sexy-dangerous situations, you can't go wrong. (...)

Summary: Mafia Soap
Review: Unlike the first three seasons, this fourth season dealt mainly with the personal lives and problems of its characters. Many of these were situations that are common to oh-so-many of us. I felt I was watching a soap-opera with details.

Not until Paulie gets released does the familiarity of the series begin to appear, but only temporarily. As always the acting was superb. BUT, the story is about the mafia AND the people within it. Not about love lost, broken hearts, "oh-what-am-I-gonna-do-now? Occasionally, okay. But not for the majority of a season.

Anyway, I hope number five has an even balance of the business end coupled with the "family" side.

Summary: powerful writing and acting
Review: I view season four as wonderfully complex and entertaining, and in no way a let-down. The season finale, "whitecaps" made me feel unsettled and sick to my stomach. When any entertainment is this powerful it's great for we viewers, whether it generates positive or negative in us. "Everybody lives in a two-story house" and although Tony overtly wronged his spouse in their marriage, Carmela was not blameless. I've never seen a series this well-written; I'll view an episode for say, the third time, and realize everything ties into the main story, like great literature.
