Summary: Watch this show!
Review: I really love the Lost World as it is a great adventure, romance, comedy, everything story. My favorite character is Marguerite Crew. She is greedy and sometimes a biatch but she's independant and smart. All I can say is once you start watching this show, you can't stop. It's better than watching Passions that's for sure.

Summary: The Best Programme in the world
Review: I think that the Lost world is one of the best things that i have seen. I was ill for a long time a couple of weeks ago and i couldnt go to school. I found that the lost world kept me happy. I think that the Lost world is interesting. There is a lot of action in it but there is also some romance between Roxton and Magurite and between Malone and Veronica. I really love it and would recomend it to anyone if they want somthing exiting to watch.

Review: I would recommend Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's The Lost World - Season One DVD to ANYBODY!!! It has everything - action, adventure, love, humor, and edge of your seat suspicion. I think everybody should buy this DVD collection, it's a great price for and awesome show! I hope they come out with a Season 2 and a Season 3 on DVD, I know I would buy them. I also hope The Lost World will come back on television for a Season 4, there is still hope!!!

Summary: Not As Well As The Others But It Passes
Review: I've seen The Lost World, and this is a minor compared to it. But as far as si-fi shows go, this is pretty good. The storyline is a group of people(a hunter, a scientist, a bodyguard, a reporter, and an archeologist) head to a new founded island and get stuck. They then find a treehouse with a Xena wannabe in it. The dinosaurs look alright and some of the plots are interesting. I love the fact that they made more Apemen and some of my favorite parts are the battles with these miniature Peking Men. If you like Indiana Jones, you'll love this adventure.

Summary: Great Escapist Fantasy, Somewhat Mediocre DVD
Review: Lost World is, or now was, a great Saturday afternoon piece of escapist fantasy. The acting was perfect for the genre, the writing generally good, the camera work always splendid, the soundtrack right on target, the special effects and sets were always believable and never cheesy. If you appreciated the show at all, this set is worth picking up. If you missed the show (or the first season), you should find this set a good investment.

Now for comments on the technical aspects.

Unlike the standard accordion fold-out mismash, the LW box set comes with a thin case for each disc. I welcome this over the accordion. (Too bad we don't see many book-style sets like La Femme Nikta Season One).

Unforunately all is not well. I could care less about no extras. Generally actors receive no monetary compensation for DVDs, hence the lack of actor commentary on almost all tv dvds.

More important is the lack of chapter stops after the title sequence. You're force to fastforward through it 22 times. A minor annoyance. Less minor is the picture quality. The bitrate for the video is WAY TOO LOW, while the bitrate for the audio is WAY TOO HIGH. In general the PQ is acceptable. It is marred by some bluriness and fuziness--probably caused again by the variable video bitrate, which jumps up and down but mainly down. It would seem that whatever company was responsible for mastering LW did a terrible job. Hopefully these mistakes will be corrected for Season Two.

Summary: Like a kid again!!!
Review: The Lost World is an escaping drama. It takes you back to being a kid again and enjoying it. The DVD is great. Alot of adventure on one disk. Fictional episodes full of action and a alot of prehistoric coolness. Veronica is a must in this wild jungle world and a good kick boxer also. If she can really kick like that. Yes, go girl. Margarite is a clever mysterious beauty also and all the men better say on their toes to stay ahead of all the adventures wherever they may go. Highly recommended DVD for those who love the fiction in us.

Summary: Only region 1.....
Review: The Lost world is really popular here in Brazil, we all read Conan Doyle's book as kids for school and even though the show has almost nothing to do with it, it's still wonderful entertainment for all ages. I was really excited about beeing able to have it on DVD, but unfortunatelly it's not available to us anymore.(Since they changed it,Nov 14th)Why it was "all regions" and now it is "region 1" only ??? Well, I guess all I can do is wait for it to be released here ( if I'm that lucky).
