Review: Along with many of you who have aired your feelings, I too keep wishing and hoping that Fox would miraculously release other seasons of the MTM show, but alas, I'm finally resigned to the fact that we just don't matter to their bottom line. It's sad, but if you think about it, why should Fox waste any time producing and marketing a beloved 70s TV show when they can make billions selling contemporary film classics like "The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen" and "X-2"?

Summary: Season Two Blues
Review: It makes me very sad that Season Two will not be hitting the shelves anytime soon. I feel very cheated!! I bought season one with the expectation of starting a collection of all the seasons, but now all I will ever have is season one. Boo hiss on you Fox.

Summary: Mary you are still the best and can keep making it after all
Review: I have just finished watching the complete First season of The Mary Tyler Moore Show and I thought it was great to see it in it entirity and the special documentary of the First season. It was good to see that these old classic shows are being released on DVD with commentary on episodess telling behind the scenes tidbits was excellent.

I just hope Fox will reconsider and release the other 6 seasons as this is a Gem and should not be put in a vault to be forgotten please.

Summary: FOX, Read This! Please try it!!!!
Review: Ok FOX, you actually have the season 2 set completed but because season 1 didn't sell well you can't justify releasing it? Here's an idea--release season 2 as you have released all of the MASH DVDs for the same price range. What about those season 2 special features you ask? Simply put in an ad (like those ones for comics, cards, etc in the Buffy sets) in the set and offer to sell them on a separate DVD for around the price of a movie. You know what is likely to happen? For every 2 or 3 season 2 sets you sell you will probably get 1 order for the bonus features dvd. You could also offer season 2 in two separate formats-one like the MASH sets (without any special features) and the other just like season 1 (with special features). I find it hard to believe that a company as BIG and POWERFUL as FOX cannot afford to try and release another season of this show. PLEASE FOX! I think that you will see that if you release season 2 you will be surprised by how well it will sell. Many Mary fans I and I are VERY likely to go and pick it up the day it's released! So FOX just give it a try, TV Land has stopped airing this show and many fans of it are becoming Mary deprived! We really love and appreciate the season 1 set but would be even more appreciative for a season 2 set!

Summary: Is Fox paying ANY attention at all?
Review: I remember sitting and watching the great Saturday night shows as a kid... Bob Newhart, Mary Tyler Moore, and Carol Burnett. Years ago, I bought all the MTM videos that I could find... only two episodes per tape in most cases and far from a complete collection but still, being able to watch Mary again was well worth it.
Then the DVD finally came out. YAY!!! Mary in DVD quality at last! I could hardly wait until Christmas to watch. (I *knew* I was getting it for Christmas.) And even better... a promise inside the box that Season 2 was coming in only four more months!
Well... it's been an incredibly long four months. Fox is up to season what... 5? 6? of M*A*S*H and STILL no season 2 (or beyond) of Mary? What gives? I see all kinds of pleas for Fox to release more of Mary and we get NOTHING except some lame excuse that season one "didn't sell well enough" or some such nonsense. What do they expect? Season one was just the beginning... great episodes (Chuckles) and characters (SueAnn Nivens) were yet to come.
Come on, Fox... pay some attention here! Start releasing the rest of Mary!

Summary: Terrific--- where's the rest of it ? ? ?
Review: One of the below posters is right, it's got to be some political, in-house thing behind the subsequent seasons of "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" not (yet) being released on DVD...
The first seasons sales being "disappointing" is bunk; when they release older series in DVD format, they're not deluded that it's going to fly off the shelves like a nearly brand new show still in production like, say, "Friends", is going to do--- even classic "MTM" isn't going to sell huge-huge numbers due to its age, and the distributors are fully aware of that, so there's clearly another reason afoot.

We all seem to be "anonymous" about this: we want more "MARY"!!!

Summary: GREAT sitcom, but why the halt?
Review: The Mary Tyler Moore Show was the FIRST sitcom i got on DVD, some time ago.
Other shows came on DVD afterwards, and are already in season 2-5, some i dont care for may be higher.
Why is this only at season 1?
Why have those half way decent shows all the way to the end or near, and this is stuck at 1?

Summary: Mary Tyler Moore is awesome!!!
Review: I didn't know much about Mary Tyler Moore until pretty recently. I first saw her in "Thoroughly Modern Millie," which I loved. My mom remembers watching "Mary Tyler Moore Show" when she was young and loving it. I got "Dick Van Dyke Show" for Christmas and fell in love with her, so I bought this DVD. I can't believe they haven't come out with season 2 yet! I love the show after watching 1 episode. Since there's not much good on today, it's nice to see the old shows.

Summary: STILL Makes No Sense
Review: .
Mr. Ed is coming out on DVD. So are Celebrity Mole: Hawaii and Punk'd. Important cultural milestones, to be sure. Fox itself is putting out the national treasure The Simple Life, along with Firefly (lasted one season), Harsh Realm (lasted a few shows), Futurama, Family Guy, and Son of the Beach. But Mary Tyler Moore isn't worthy of a second season release. Okay............

Summary: The Picture Is Not Grainy At All.
Review: The Mary Tyler Moore Show is one of the greatest sitcoms ever and this DVD set is so good and the picture clarity and sound is done to perfection. The picture is crystal clear!

The reviewer who said the picture was too grainy must have gotten a defective DVD set or he or she needs to adjust the controls for the color, picture, sharpness on they're TV because the picture on this set is not grainy at all.

I like others am patiently waiting for the other season to come on DVD!
