Summary: Where are the bloopers?
Review: This has some hilarious moments. I love the show and never miss an episode, but I was hoping for bloopers. The extras are nothing more than snippets taken from the season strung together. Creative, but I would much rather see the outtakes.

Summary: Over the top funny!!
Review:

I was kind of late to the Will & Grace game, and this set is a perfect was for me to catch up and fill in. The pilot is almost bizarre because it was before they really found their stride, Karen's voice was a lot lower and what was up with Will's hair?!? Debra Messing's Grace is practically a modern-day Lucille Ball, heavy on the physical comedy and facial expressions.

All of the episodes feature the wacky adventures of Will, Grace, Jack and Karen, who all live and, with the exception of Jack, work in New York City. One of my favorite episodes is the one where Grace is being super competitive about games and she and Will end up alienating another couple. Another is the one when Molly Shannon moves into their building and becomes too friendly with Will for Grace's comfort. Of course Jack steals every scene he is in!! The featurettes (greatest bits with a theme) are hilarious!! This set is great way to relax if you've had a tough day.

Summary: Will & Grace Fan!!!!!
Review: I love this show. I, however, was not into it the first season it began. Now I am an addict. I enjoyed viewing the pilot episode as well as the commentary by the creators. It was an experience to see the characters form their personalities (as well as voices). I really enjoy watching this DVD set and would definitely recommend it to any of the show's fans. I am excited for Season 2, March 23, 2004.

Summary: Excellent
Review: Will & Grace is arguably the best show on television. It combines exceptional writing with an exceptional cast. What really attracts me to this show is the "smart" humor. The show is very funny, but it limits the "slapstick" comedy that most shows today feature. The cast of this show is spectacular; each of them really know their character and know how to play the part. Their chemistry together also really makes the show work.
The first season of Will & Grace set very high standards for the other seasons. This season presented a concept that had never been previously explored. This DVD is the perfect thing to watch when you just want to laugh. My favorite epiodes are "Will on Ice" and "Secrets and Lays", but they are all great. I also reccomend watching new episodes of WIll & Grace of NBC Thursdays.

Summary: They were just revving their engines
Review: As DVD sets go, this rates only 4 out of 5 stars with me for the following reasons:
* The 11 featurettes are cute, but they're nothing new. Calling mini-clip shows "extras" is a stretch in my book. Kudos to whomever is responsible for editing these together, but shame on NBC Home Entertainment for trying to pass these off as full-fledged "extras"!
* I'm not so crazy about the cover art. This is strictly subjective, I know. But the pea-green cover with the publicity cast photo looks a bit plain.
* The episodes don't run any longer on these disks than they did during their initial network run. Full-season sets of "Friends" include deleted scenes and dialogue and cost about the same as this set, so unfortunately that has set the bar pretty high for other TV sitcom releases. Each W&G episode on this set runs no longer than 21.5 minutes. We're not getting anything less than what NBC originally aired, but we're also not getting anything extra.

As for the episodes themselves, I rate them 4 out of 5 stars as well. Mainly because the show had yet to hit its stride creatively or comedically. Jack and Karen are clearly the breakout characters from the beginning, much wilder and unpredictable than the title characters (though extremely tame in comparison to later seasons). Will and Grace aren't nearly as flawed as they would later become, and no references to Grace being Jewish are made until half-way through this first year, making her religion look like an afterthought on the part of the show's writers.

This set is definitely worth having in my collection. But as most other W&G fans might argue, the best moments are found in seasons TWO and THREE. So if anything, these first 22 episodes just leave me wanting MORE!

Summary: Seriously recommended!
Review: I was a huge fan of Will and Grace before getting this DVD and have not been disappointed. I have friends who are not die-hard fans like me, and they love it too! The reviews on Amazon indicated that the special features were not very good, so to be honest, I haven't even bothered checking them out.
There are so many episodes in this boxed set, and it makes such a difference when there are no ads! :) It really is good value for money.
My only complaint is that in the first few episodes (I think it's better by the second DVD) the actual quality is really weird - if the camera tracks around a room it's really jerky - like watching a movie over the internet. Don't get me wrong - it's not really bad, and it does get better, it's just really odd.

But, I would definetly recommend getting this DVD set, and I will most probably get the second season as well

Summary: One of Best Shows on TV
Review: I was first attracted to Will & Grace because of Karen and Jack. After a few episodes, I was hooked because of the exceptional writing. This show was such a breath of fresh air to the sitcom genre. This DVD contains the first-season episodes and even today (2003), I'm still impressed with the writing and it is still so darn funny! The only bad thing I can say about this DVD is that I was hoping for more interviews with the cast.

Summary: Finally!
Review: Miracles still happen! At least that's the way it seems to me. Finally the whole season in one package, and not - like the UK-Editions - in several DVD's and very overprized!
But let me tell you: it was worth the wait.
And finally no dubvoices! Ahhhh, delicious! Please, sit and enjoy and have some fun...
... until the second season and hopefully soon!

Summary: Most annoying, overrated show on TV
Review: I'd like this show...if the characters didn't make me want to dive head first into the television and end the pain.

No likable characters, copied plot lines...and its just not funny.
