Summary: Great Entertainment!!!!
Review: I have all the DVD's that are out. I think they are great for adults....the four women actually say and do things I think about saying and doing!!!! I like the videos much better than the book....I read it in three hours but kept expecting it to get better....so unlike the fast paced shows. They talk about topics we single women think about all the time.....I think I will re-watch them for years to come. A good investment.

Review: I love SEX AND THE CITY, I have seen each episode thousand of times. I simply recommend this to every open-minded person.

Summary: Three uglies and a pretty
Review: the title of this review should say it all. the show basically concerns over-the-hill hag (Samantha), brittle wallflower (Miranda), hatched-face (Carrie), and pretty-sweet one (Charlotte) as they date. Its no wonder the three ugly, attempting-to-sell-them-selves-to-thebest-looking-preppie ones can't find anyone who'd love them, while the pretty one manages to snag 2 husbands by the end of the show.

Women try to pretend this is about feminism. Its not. Its about how being slut and going for outside appearances in men leave them, well, jilted (witness how much of a plaything Carrie turns into for Mr. Big- he's a jerk, but a handsome jerk, so she'll do anything for him).

The more you watch this show, the emptier they become. sort of like the political rhetoric feminists use to defend it.

Summary: BAD tv but LUV IT ANYWAY! INSPIRATION AT IT'S FINEST
Review: It took me awhile to get hooked on this show. I didn't get hooked until, after seeing it on tv (and not being really excited about it when it comes on, cuz I didn't see it in order) then I went through the DVD's and was happy with it b/c of the shOpping!!! The second time around now I LOVE it!!!!

I'm not sure I agree that the popularity of this show reflects on the shallowness of society. M-I-N-D-L-E-S-S tv is easy entertainment. If I wanted to think I'd read a book. This is entertainment at BEST!!!

I luv that the characters are single-noted and shallow.

It's refreshing to see a show where the characters wear designer clothes, bags and earrings daily and shopping at REAL stores like Blahnik, Chanel, Fendi, LV and such on a regular basis. I luv the trendiness of the show.

THANK GOD FOR the fact that the characters are reasonably unattractive and have nothing deep to say, because this saves me from getting distracted from the DECEDANT SHOPPING scenes YUM...Ah and the attempt at making four reasonably unattractive women act sexy should be an inpiration to all the unattractive women out there. If the show where based on drop dead gorgeous babes then fewer people would be able to relate to the show, and I like to focus my attention on the fashion not on the women thank you (from a female point of view). After all this is a chic flik even though it is on the verge of being a womanizer of a show for those who take it so SERIOUSLY. Chill

Summary: One of the most realistic shows on TV!
Review: I love this show. The dialouge & storylines are very realistic...like they would happen in real life. Which is very different than alot of shows dealing with sex and realtionships out there. I also don't think this show is only for women. Yes women can relate mostly, but I think anyone can enjoy this show. Not only is it dramatic and realistic...it is halarious. I laughed throughout this whole set from start to finish & still I cried and felt what the characters were going through. The first season of Sex and the City is really a rollercoaster ride, and although this is the first season, the show started out really well. Every episode is enjoyable, and the cast is very talented...even the supporting roles. Another good thing about this show is that the New York City scenery is real, actually shot there. That adds alot to the show. It's real, fresh & great entertainment. Isn't that what shows are for? Well, this is one of the best. My favorite episodes of this season, although I loved them all, were "Models and Morals", "Secret Sex", "Three's A Crowd", "The Turtle and the Hare", and "Come Ye All Faithful". The funniest episodes were "The Turtle and the Hare" & "Come Ye All Faithful". I have never laughed so hard as I did in the final episode "Come Ye All Faithful". Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Catrall, Cynthia Nixon & Kirsten Davis do an amazing job getting this show started...like they'd been doing it forever. Kudos to the cast and crew...this is a great show! Don't miss out!

Summary: I am hooked on this show...
Review: I must first of all state that I love this show. I truly do. I was hooked after only one episode. It is so very addictive. I have season 1,2, and 3 and I am impatiently awaiting season 4. It is interesting to go back and look at how things started on the show. I love the Carrie-Mr.Big episodes. I love Mr. Big though. Every one of these actresses bring something lovable and wonderful to this show with their characters. Charlotte brings old-fashioned values such as marriage and children and loyalty. Samantha, of course, is very sexual and all that, but she is a wonderful friend. She is ambitious and in some episodes, we have witnessed little pieces of her persona that are romantic and vulnerable. Miranda appears to be "tough as nails" most of the time, but she too falls victim to the same insecurities and problems all women have such as being single and lonely, etc...Carrie is the girl who brings them all together. She wants love-that one true love who makes your knees weak, but the one she loves (Big)is unattainable or so it seems...The cast is wonderful. The writing is amazing. You must watch this show and give it a chance. You will not be disappointed.

Summary: Season 1....Just the Beginning
Review: If you haven't seen Sex and the CIty Season one, I won't ask you what's wrong with you. I will ask, however, have you been living under a rock? I was. This past fall a girlfriend turned me onto Sex and the City. I had seen a few episodes here and there and had enjoyed them. It wasn't until I sat down and spent three hours watching Season 1 that I realized I love this show. Let's meet the cast

Carrie Bradshaw - Professional Writer. Is also known as a shoe shopping addict. The series revolves around her column and she narrates at times.
And who better to help her with her columns? Her friends!

Miranda Hobbs - Attorney. She is the independent type. Doesn't need help from a man, nor does she want the help.

Samantha Jones - PR Executive. She owns her own PR firm and enjoys having sex like men. No feelings, no emotions, just sex. And she has a lot of it.

Charlotte York - Art Buyer. She is the traditionalist in the group. She wants to get married, have kids, the townhouse in the city, the country home in the hamptons. She is looking hard for Mr Right.

Together these four women bring you into their lives and share with you their dating ups and downs.

Season 1 Is also the introduction of one of my favorite reoccuring characters, Mr Big played by Chris Noth (Law and Order)

Sex and the City is a must have. Watch as Carrie and Mr Big try to have a drink "thing." Watch as Miranda is mistaken for a lesbian because she choses to be single. Watch as Sam has sex like a man, and watch Charlotte keep looking for Mr right in what seems to be all the wrong places.

If you don't want to buy it, rent it. Then you'll in love with it, as I have, and buy it!

Summary: Everything you don't want your children exposed to
Review: This sitcom is proof positive that we live in an anything goes society. "Sex and the City" could very easily be titled "The Sodam and Gomorrah". Too bad we allow any and everything on tv as long as it generates money for a few. We can not continue to turn our backs on God because one of these days God is going to leave us and not even say goodbye. If you like promiscuity sodomy, nudity, unsafe sex, etc, then this is the one for you. I would have rated it zero but that wasn't one of the choices.
