Summary: The Best Series of 2001 & 2002
Review: Another hit series for HBO! I recommend buy this DVD set to anyone who loves the show or has not yet seen it. This is one of the best series ever created for television. It is realistic on it's view of life & everything that goes along with it. You feel like you can relate to one, if not all the characters. This show holds no punches, explores every taboo(or not so taboo) topic you could think of, & gives you everything you could want for a fabulous Sunday night. Can't miss HBO Sunday. It's HBO.

Summary: Finally!!!
Review: Six Feet Under is one of the most original, well-acted, and emotionally powerful shows available on the small screen today.

Give the first season a chance, I guarantee you will laugh and cry with its charming, problematic characters living against the morbid backdrop of the Fisher Funeral Home. Although the show is set in the perpetually sunny Los Angeles, cinematographers of the show still manage to make LA seem gray, drab, and cheerless. This is not to say, however, that this show lacks in entertainment value.

There's always the side of us that secrely relish the misfortunes of others--perhaps it's not so secret, since that is the foundation of most comedies (ever think why we find the Three Stooges--three fully grown men going through public humiliation and suffering--so funny?). Six Feet Under catches onto this, but imbues with such wit and intelligence that it's impossible not to get attached to the wonderful but slightly insane cast of the show (it also doesn't hurt that the three children of the Fisher Family are very attractive, charismatic people!).

Alan Ball, the writer of the critically acclaimed film American Beauty, continues with his superb style of biting sarcasm and social commentary on Six Feet Under.

So give it a chance and enter the morbidly entertaining world of Six Feet Under!

Summary: Come on, HBO! Hurry up and release this!!!
Review: Man, what a fantastic Christmas present this would have made for several freinds and family members. If the first season of this terrific show was out on DVD, I'd buy about ten copies and be practically done with my Christmas shopping!! S.F.U.is so many people's favorite show, there has to be a huge audience for the DVD. Here's hoping HBO will come to their senses and get this released asap. C'mon, HBO, you're losing money by sitting on this one!

Summary: Television at its best
Review: I normally have a few bad things to say in any review, if for no other reason than to keep a balanced view of the show or movie as a whole. For Six Feet Under, though, I honestly can't think of anything. I started watching mid-season, and have since picked up season two and reruns of season one. There has not been a single episode I actually dislike. The characters are very developed, and the story arcs give each actor time to show off. The only complaint I have with this show is that it has not yet won enough awards.

Summary: The most stylish, original series ever to grace HBO...
Review: Six Feet Under has been an amazing achievment for HBO. In the first episode the tension has already started to form between every member of the Fisher family, causing them to come together at the unexpected car wreck and death of their father. With each episode you discover the hardships that each character has to pummel through. This show is original, heart-warming, upsetting, sometimes disturbing, but altogether wonderful. My favorite character is Nate, played by Peter Krause, because that is the person I can relate the most to. Every member of the cast and crew of Six Feet Under should be praised!!!!

Summary: Very clever
Review: This could be hbo's most clever show yet. It deals with death and relationships. The performances are extraordinary and so is every single episode of its first season. The show picked up 23 emmy nominations for its first year and did not win much but still was the most nominated show of 2002 primetime emmys. Six feet under will blow your mind and entertain you. It is not just a drama it also makes you laugh.

Summary: Brief and to the point
Review: The most BRILLIANT writing and performance EVER!! I have produced inde film and this is the ONLY work I can watch OVER and OVER and OVER ++!! It is intuitive and ground breaking as far as the ability to write and perform such complex, true and deep characters. I have EVERY ep on tape and I am waiting desperately for the DVD collection and the NEW season!!

Summary: Brilliant!
Review: There has never been a show that I have watched every episode of, from the series premiere to the season finale of the most recent season. The metamorphosis that the characters have taken from an average American Family to a complex, disturbed, diverse family with very deep relationships. I've seen every show from both seasons, and I can honestly say I've never seen an episode I didn't like. From the point of view of the character Nate, while still allowing you to develop your own point of view, and not adopting any of his biases. I don't think there has ever been a more intruiging show on television, and I'd like to see the show that surpasses it in the future.

Summary: Died and gone to heaven.....
Review: I hope HBO wises up and puts this incredibly addictive and well-craftive series on dvd. I'd buy it in an instant. This is one show that my friends and I never miss. I would have never believed that I would enjoy a show about a family of undertakers but Alan Ball has made a quirky, wonderful series with interesting characters that are complex and always a joy to watch. "Six Feet Under" joins the ranks of great televison produced by HBO, including "Sex and the City" and "The Sopranos". I can only hope they will see how popular the series is among its fan and give us each season on dvd.

Summary: frantic fan
Review: This has to be one of the best series ever made for television. It follows the everyday lives of a family run funeral home. It has a great cast. Micheal C. Hall is great as David Fisher. Peter Krause is also great as Nate Fisher, who has come home after the untimely death of the Fisher patriarch, Nathanial Fisher, Sr., only to find out that he has been left half of the business in his father's will. Rachel Griffiths shines as Brenda Chenowith, a far cry from the role she played in the movie "The Rookie" last summer. Claire Fisher is played by Lauren Ambrose. I had seen her in the movie "Psycho Beach Party" and this show solidifies her talent. The character I enjoy the most is the role of Ruth Fisher, the mother, brilliantly played by Frances Conroy. Her expressions alone leave me laughing hysterically one minute, touched and tearful the next. I have watched this show from it's beginning and was hooked. I suggest that anyone who hasn't seen this series buy this DVD along with the future seasons I'm sure will follow. You will not be disappointed!!
