Summary: Where Is The Second Peak?
Review: I gather from other websites that Artisan's Home Entertainment division has been contacted and a Season Two DVD set doesn't show up on their 2003 production calendar. Pressure needs to be applied to Artisan. What on earth is the point of releasing the first season and stopping there?

This situation is all the more frustrating when you see that the DVD marketplace is currently swimming with the re-released film and TV garbage of the past 30 years.

We want the rest of Twin Peaks.

Summary: get used to it
Review: Well folks, here we are again. For all you newcomers to the wonderful world of Twin Peaks, this random and awkward delay is nothing new. When the first VHS tapes came out we got episodes one through seven, each on their own tape... Then, when the rest came out...it was a huge set that included all of the 3 seasons. I got ...., and had to buy eps. 1-7 again, as many many others did also.

Then when the fabulous DVD set came out, i lept like a lemming over the figgin cliff that was right in front of me and yet I could not see it. THE PILOT NOT INCLUDED. OK OK, I still love the show, BUT I would not be the least bit surprised if sometime in May or so out pops the complete series on DVD, leaving all of us to buy buy buy it over again... Great show, terribly american marketing system.h

Summary: perhaps release delay is not so bad?
Review: Considering the amount of people that I know who have never seen the show when it was originally on TV, and considering the amount of people I do know who missed an episode or two, became lost and eventually lost interest, perhaps a delay on the release of the second is not such a bad thing? Especially with the season one finale cliffhanger? The best way then to push up the release of the second season is to show season one to as many people as possible. Once people other then the traditional fans ask about whats going to happen next, that will drive up the interest in season two and therefore the potential return on a corporate investment. Which is why anything gets done anymore these days.

Review: Yes, please, please, please get the rest of the series out, and also do a PAL (European) version!!! I am an American living abroad, and the European edition of Season One also includes the pilot film (sadly missing from the USA edition) and all of the additional goodies on 4 DVDs (for about US $$) in English, German, Italian, and Spanish, so I can share it all with my European buddies who have become addicted to the series. I have a dual format DVD player (NTSC and PAL), so I would get any version of Season Two, but, of course, would prefer it in a multi-lingual format. Now, if it were only shot in widescreen...

Summary: Writing this review in the hopes the set will be released
Review: I too am VERY anxious that the second season of Twin Peaks be released on dvd. The video-tapes never were (only season one made video). The only way you can get ahold of the second season is on import laser disk (remember laser disks?)

It's true that the second season meandered following the revelation of who Killer Bob is. The death of that person, however was one of the most intense wonderful monents in this groundbreaking series and shouldn't be missed. Along the way Coop was framed for drug smuggling and faced his ex-partner the mad Windham Earl (who turned Leo into a tame pet). Audrey was in peril at One Eyed Jack's for way too long, we met the lovely Heather Graham, and so much more. Highly recommended. I hope we have the chance to buy this on dvd soon.

Summary: don't toss your crummy vhs copy of season two yet
Review: Hmph, website won't let me withhold my rating.

Taking skawes' Dec. 1 advice, I just spoke over the phone with an individual from Artisan's Home Entertainment division and learned that a Season Two DVD set doesn't show up anywhere on Artisan's 2003 production calendar.

This probably means either:
1)they're not making anything public (I didn't pretend to be a Hollywood Video regional purchaser or anything),
2)they haven't acquired the rights for dvd production (I'm guessing that's not the case, although the person who I spoke to wasn't sure), or
3)they really don't see a point in pursuing what many still misperceive as a stagnant cult market...

...which is unfortunate. I've owned the Season One DVDs for over a year, but I've resisted watching them until the rest of the series is released. I don't think I could bear watching 7 beautifully remastered, dolby digital, crystal clear, tear-inducing episodes only to be forced to revert to my old stretched out fuzzy vhs tapes for season two. better to wait. another year.. maybe more...

Summary: How long do we have to wait?

Summary: Get it Sorted!! We want Series 2 NOW!!!!
Review: I was just 16 when Twin Peaks was first shown on UK television. My friends and I just loved the series! In fact we loved it so much that instead of revising for our final year examinations at school we were busy hosting Twin Peaks nights where we all got together and had some coffee and cherry pie and watched it on tv. Needless to say none of us did as well as expected in our exams!!!!! Series 1 of Twin Peaks has just been released on DVD in the UK, but WE NEED MORE!!!!! SERIES 2 has just got to be released!!! Aside from that, what the heck is the use of releasing only part of a series anyway!!! GET IT SORTED!! WE WANT TWIN PEAKS SERIES 2 NOW!!!
