Summary: old school fun time!!!!!
Review: i am the only girl i know of that loves this movie.... i cant find anyone who loves this movie as i do! i first saw this movie in 1991 or so, my brother rented it or something, anyhow i love skaters and skating, its just unfortunate that i have no skating abilities whatsoever. this movie is so freakin rad i cant explain it, you have to go and see it for yourself, ... plus there are a couple hidden documentaries on the dvd as well, just click on the eyes of the skateboard and press an arrow key, also click on the skateboard and then an arrow key to get another documentary. ... im glad others enjoy this movie as much as i do.... bad wigs and all...
see you later!

Summary: The UK Version of this DVD
Review: I bought the UK edition of the DVD (on Carlton's Silver Collection) for about £10, although the film is really good, the quality of the DVD is terrible, I'd not recommend buying it and would suggest getting the US region one version instead.

Summary: Old Movie? Yeah, right.
Review: I cannot find words to rate this fine movie. I saw it in the theaters many, many years ago. I recently found a copy on VHS, but got a DVD player not too long ago, and now... My wife won't let me buy it.... THE SORROW! Christian Slater and a Pizza delivering Tony Hawk vs. Vietnamese weapon smugglers. How much better could you get with a PG-13 rating?!?! She says "It's too old", but all that does is make it a classic.

This brings me to only one conclusion. My wife doesnt have any taste.

Summary: This movie s GREAT skater classic!
Review: I enjoy watching this movie over and over because it is just too good. Christian Slater is the great lead skater boy in the film, and he's so young with spiked blond hair. I enjoy his performance as well as the other actors involved. I give this movie 4 stars because at some parts you can tell it's NOT Christian doing the stunts for the skating parts.

I recommend this movie to anyone who is BIG Christian Slater fan, like myself. I've been following and collecting his movies since I was eleven years old. I'm only twenty-one now, but I think I've been a fan for a while.

Go out and rent this or do whatever you can to get this movie. It's a keeper!

Summary: Great quality, great fun!
Review: I first saw this film about five years ago. It was about two o'clock in the morning and I thought "cool Christian Slater, I'll check this out". So I sat down and chilled out, letting the story just draw me in until, suddenly, I realised what a great film it was. It's got lots of character and action and the skate choreography is the best I've ever seen.Unfortunately it was unavailable on video at the time and it gradually erased itself from my memory. That is, until I was talking to a skate buddy of mine who asked me if I had ever seen this film.

Regenerating my interest, I began searching for the film on DVD sites, but I was beginning to lose hope. But then I found it and I must say this is one of the best films I have the honour of owning and is a big hit with my friends. It definately benefits from being on DVD - the picture is really smooth and detailed, the sound is fantastic and it'll never wear out.Not to mention, unlike other companies who release old films as they are, this DVD has special features: not only the trailer and bios but interviews with the skaters, a documentary and some interesting facts about the film.

All in all, not only is this a great demonstration of what DVD can do by giving life to an old film, but a fantastic film which, to me and my friends, will never be forgotten.

Summary: Cool movie..why is the DVD a weeks salary though?!?
Review: I love this movie then and now...I still have my original VHS version. A skateboard movie with a story and a young Tony Hawk.
The movie was limited DVD release but these sellers charging up to 1 G for the movie are getting greedy and RIDICULOUS!!!!!!! I don't think an original Elvis Presly home video movie even goes for that much!
I mean it's silly.
There's this guy selling it on Ebay for under $100.00 (he seems to have some multiple "authentic" copies to go around...I am wondering did the distributers stop production on the DVD and turn it over to him?? He seems to have ALOT of copies..hmmm authentic bootleggs???Probably...anyways my point is that you may as well buy it from him/them for under the 100 bucks as opposed to spending 1000.00 bucks here, no doubt it's a collectors item and "collectors" will go through any lengths to get that item they need sometimes for whatever amounts...but I've seen some sellers here on Amazon with those Gleaming the cube DVDs selling for 2 years....no collectors interested in spending 2 weeks salary.
Anyways you may even get the DVD cheaper on Amazon.ca or just check ebay.
I highly recommend this movie, Thrashin', Airborne,Skateboard 1977 version with Tony Alva, and Skater Dater.
I'm outta here!

Summary: Skateboarding in the 80's ruled.
Review: I loved this movie from the time I saw it in the theater. Note professional skaters Tony Hawk, Steve Caballero and others. Classic Skateboarding in the 80's.
