Summary: TERRIBLE - DON'T BOTHER!
Review: Absolutely pitiful. Very little good footage. Almost no continuous footage. No pre-race materials. No qualifying. No driver interviews to speak of... No pole position laps.

This is a complete waste of plastic. If you are a fan or not - do not buy this. Hopefully someone will come out with a true race-by-race season DVD that has great footage, full laps on board, telemetry, pit actions, driver interviews (pre and post race), and each pole position lap from the season.

Summary: Where are the word's?
Review: As a formula one championship review it's by far the most excelent ever done, but in my opinion, in a race there are other significant moments such a pre/post-race interviews with pilots, managers & others, funny moments and behind the scenes moments that maybe can make this feature more atractive.

Once you saw 5-6 races resume, you begin to feel that the other ones are kind of boring because they have the same camera takes, and the lenght's are almost the same too.

Either way I'm expecting the release of the 2001 championship review, thinking that perhaps the producer's maybe have been thinking about it before.

Be sure if you buy it you're going to enjoy every race because it has some details that you can't see on the TV transmission

Summary: Poor effort
Review: Do not compare this 'review' to the official F1 review videos released each year (not yet available on DVD).
This DVD is really only a race highlight package of the 2000 F1 season. It has some excellent on-board footage - not normally seen by analog TV viewers - and some good on track action but it lacks the kind of depth most F1 fans would want.
There is NO qualifying footage, no pre-race interviews or news and no between race updates (ie team changes, new developments etc) that you would normally have in a *normal* review video.
I also believe that the menu system is the poorest I have yet seen on any DVD.
It's my opinion that this DVD was produced only to bundle with the F12001 game for the Sony PS2 and that its subsequent stand alone release was an ill conceived afterthought.

Summary: Could have been better!
Review: Excellent pictures and sound, especially when viewing the on-board cams and extra race scene. The bad part is the missing pre-race, qualifying, side tidbits and bloopers from the VHS version of this title. Scenes like Fisichella's Benetton pre-race crash in Belgium and Schumi being attacked by a fly during an interview are not found on this disc, pity! Also the extra function keys while viewing the interactive version keeps blinking, hard to switch. If you are a real F1 fan and don't mind the problems, grab this title.

Summary: Wasted chance
Review: FIA could have shown quite a bit more onboard footage, that's we live for. They certainly could have used some of Bernie's digital TV coverage. As it is the presentation is fragmented, not much of a story line for the championish fight.

Summary: Great for the Real F1 Enthusiasts
Review: Great DVD for a great Formula One Season. Different Options: Super, Track, On-board Camera(OBC), Pits and Data. All of them are good except for Data which doesn't give any useful or interesting information.

Would love to see more OBC clips (complete laps). Should've covered qualifying and should've give a point standings at end and/or beg of each round to provide a better insight on complete season fight for title.

Lack of interviews also kept this DVD on 4 star rating.

This DVD is worth the 17 Dollars for sure, but would appeal to knowledgable fans more than the casual racing fan.

Summary: Subtitles ???
Review: Hello Amazonian...

Summary: Milanoguy
Review: I bought this DVD in spite of the bad review from the guy in Laguna Beach. Well he was right and I was wrong. This is a terrible DVD. It is much worse than the season reviews on VHS that I've buying and watching for years. It is very hard to watch a complete race, there is less racing footage than before, and you can't watch the complete season in one sitting. Get familiar with your menu settings on your remote control you will be using them a lot.

Summary: A true F-1 FAN
Review: I have been a F-1 fan for years. I attended three European races in 2000 and I attended 13 races this year. Some of the complaints of this DVD suggest there are not enough interviews, continuous track time, pre-race information, etc. Let us be realistic. Monaco alone goes for four days, not including press interviews, etc. You would need 18 discs, or more, to cover all of the races. I was in the paddock for three of these races and I still did not see the camera views and driver comments included in the DVD. Some people will always complain (the coffee is too hot, not hot enough, on and on). This is a great review of the F-1 2000 season and for less than the cost of three beers at Hockenheim. If you are a fan, buy it! I can't wait to get the 2001 season DVD.

Summary: Could have been much better...
Review: I have to say I'm a little disappointed. I was under the impression that this DVD contained the full races. Instead, you are provided with a narrated highlight reel of the race....not even the original announcer is heard. I has also hoped for at least one full lap shown "in-car", but again, they only show highlights for a few seconds of a lap. The interactive portion is confusing at best, and it's difficult to know if you are missing things and you end up watching the same clips multiple times as a result.
Overall: Come out with a DVD of the entire season, showing each race fully. Comment on the off-track events of the season. Show some behind the scenes F1 footage. Show some full lap in-car scenes. This DVD has none of what I just described, and will now sit and gather dust.
